They offer a variety of unusual pizzas of their own creation, such as The Purple Pig, and are always ready and willing to customize to the customer's liking. It's tasty and thin crust and fresh. One pizza is a stretch to satisfy two people for a meal; if you're hungry, get your own pie! But the Rolling Stonebaker pizza truck... More

While staying at Riley's Railhouse we stumbled upon this treasure when strolling through the nearby Chesterton European Market. What a delightful experience. Fresh stone-baked pizza. We tried the artichoke-mushroom and it was wonderful. Their pepperoni was good as well. Light crispy crust, non-greasy. Putting this on our list when we return to Chesterton.

While good pizza is pretty easy to find in NW Indiana, this isn't. It's a food truck with a wood burning brick oven, parked on US 12 in Beverly Shores, Indiana. It's really worth the effort to get there. My daughter and I tried their BBQ Chicken Pizza and were floored. Nicely flavored chicken with some corn and other goodies... More

Pizza was great! Truck was parked at their roadside spot. Recommended to fellow camper and they had it for breakfast at the Chesterton European Market. They also indicated it was really worth it. We each tried different pizza but all of us had a great meal.

This pizza is terrific! Worth the wait even on those hot summer popular days... Kids enjoyed watching the unique process; those of us old enough to appreciate it and enjoyed the vintage truck the pizza oven was in. Their service was crisp, efficient and the pizza was great. Plenty of topping choices. I would go again and again....

This is a go-to pizza joint (even a 20 minute plus drive from Valpo). Food Network Magazine named them the best pizza in Indiana. A food blogger friend of mine audibly approved during a bite of the Purple Pig. From basic pies to their specials, this is a great stop.

Few things to be aware of... A. Google maps has the location wrong. The place is a block West of where it is located on Google. Only reason I found it is the very nice gentlemen at the hot dog truck that actually occupies the location on Google maps gave me directions. I recommend his place as well just because... More

The Rolling Stonebaker is located in the small town of Beverly Shores, Indiana, next to the South Shore Railroad and a little farther south of Lake Michigan. It is along Highway 12, just east of the Marathon Station which is at the only stop and go light in town. They serve wood fire made pizzas. There is one size, personal,... More

My boyfriend and I stopped at this food truck for lunch after a day at the beach and really enjoyed our pizzas. We ordered the Margarita, the Mr. Potato Head, and the Purple Pig. Yes, we were really hungry. The Mr. Potato Head and Purple Pig were both really tasty and I would definitely recommend them both. The Margarita was... More
