We had heard good things from friends so we decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon. There was no one in the restaurant except for 3 staff. We got our menus served promptly but a person came in to pickup an order and they got occupied with that person such that it took quite a while longer before our orders... More

A small establishment but pronounce in the flavor of the food. We ordered pot stickers, ginger garlic Kai Lan(Chinese broccoli), chicken salted fish fried rice, green onion braised wonton noodle and braised roast duck noodle. All the dishes were delicious. There was a good crowd for a Sunday evening, enjoying good Hong Kong food. Check them out if you are... More

this looks like your typically little Chinese Take-Away, and I suppose it falls in that category…but in my opinion, it is the best Chinese food in the area. They have your normal stuff of course (kung pao, sweet and sour etc), but they have a full REAL Chinese menu too, most of which, is unfamiliar to the American Chinese food... More

This is a little family run restaurant and very small but quaint. The food was wonderful, some of the best Chinese we have ever eaten! The service was good and very quick. We would definitely go back!

I have been eating lunch at Hong Kong cafe a few times a month for the last 4-5 years and the food is consistently excellent. For about $7.00 you can get soup, rice and protein. You can tell the food is fresh and the meat is great quality. I have brought coworkers here over the years and each time I... More

I love love love Hong Kong Cafe. I am addicted to their soups and their rice dishes. Egg drop, Wonton, vegetable, hot and sour, no matter what soup you order you won't be disappointed. I usually order the shrimp fried rice dish. It's huge and I can usually make 3 or 4 meals out of one order. My husband loves... More

There are a few dishes I always tried out in an authentic Cantonese style restaurant. Shrimp wonton soup noodle, this was very authentic, tasted really good. The beef and bitter melon was cooked well, the tenderness of both the melon and beef were just right. The Beef with flat noodle, however, was a little disappointed but still at par.

Ate here because we were in the area and didn't want to spend a bundle. The lunch sweet and sour chicken tasted like chicken nuggets with a canned sauce on top. Cheap meal but not worth it. Ate here because the place we wanted to go to is closed on Tuesday.

Hard to believe I could find an authentic Chinese restaurant near a hotel that I felt disappointed at. Its menu was definitely appealing to Chinese diners. Actually, it was true that most diners while I were there were Chinese. My sister and I ordered Tofu with Eight Treasures(八珍豆腐: $11.95) and Shrimp with Walnuts(核桃虾: $11:95); both were delicious and in a... More

After the loss of our favorite Wilmette Chinese restaurant, Wah Mei - we learned they had another location in Schaumburg and finally made it there for dinner....... and we weren't disappointed! The egg rolls care almost as good as Wah Mai's but still are well worth the drive...... excellent crispy shells and delicious centers. Since only 2 of us came,... More
