About
Het Broeker Huis is one of the most beautiful buildings in the extremely pittoresque village Broek in Waterland, at 10 minutes from Amsterdam. A very nice restaurant with fine cuisine, a lovely courtyard-terrace and many authentic details. You can have lunch, dinner or just drinks. Cocktails, homemade lemonades and ice tea, home roasted coffee, special beers. Homemade apple pie and cheesecake, the most tender steaks ever, Flammkuchen and fresh fish. The very friendly staff will make sure you'll leave happy and satisfied. Make sure to take a walk through the old part of this extremely charming village wich is still like a well kept secret. You can also consider having your wedding or any other party at Het Broeker Huis. Or maybe a business meeting, or a corporate training. Private dining maybe? There are a few separate rooms wich are perfectly suitable for any kind of group.

The restaurant is very charming. Staff excellent. We speak english and they were very patient. Hummus appetizer, glass of wine, good beer to start. The meal overall was very good. We walked from the bus stop, through charming winding streets, found Het Broeker Huis on a quiet canal. So Picturesque!

Our family of eight spent the day biking outside of Amsterdam and were so lucky to have come across this restaurant by chance. The staff are very friendly (and patient - they took time to explain the menu to all of us), and the surroundings are gorgeous. Three of us are vegetarians and had no difficulty finding selections that suited us. Everything was quite delicious. We were able to sit in the outdoor courtyard which is both elegant and peaceful. It was quite an unexpected reward for the physical effort that we made that day on our bikes!

We came across the Broeker House by accident as we were walking through Broek-on-Waterlands exploring the beautiful little town in its picturesque setting. It was a damp day with few people around but once we entered the restaurant we were in a beautiful old building with great ambience with a wonderful bar at one end. We enjoyed a terrific meal. We would have loved to go back in the evening for dinner we were so impressed!

Just loved it here, we were staying in Broek so this was a short walk and what a find. Buzzy atmosphere, lovely setting and décor, beautiful high ceilings and great staff. At least two of our party have slight (some may argue with slight) control issues so when we were asked if we would like to have a surprise three course menu I think we said yes with a bit of bravado and a large gulp. Two caveats - we don't eat much meat and no pork. What they served up was fabulous - a beautifully moist and tasty crab starter, cod loin main with super fries and veggies and a pannacotta pudding. The men had a couple of beers, we had a couple of glasses of wine each, coffees all round and 45 euros a head. Amazing value, loved every mouthful, enjoyed every minute. My in-laws were so impressed they went back two nights later - sadly we were back in England then......there's always a next time.

Being lucky with a hot night we spend a delicious dinner out on the waterfront. My wife and i started both with a spicy Tom Ka soup, not too spicy - just great, followed by a tomato risotto for W. and a well balanced truffle-salami-pizza for me, good! Interesting menu with choice of small or normal portions.

The location is beautiful in the old centre of broek in waterland. But the dishes are simple and very small. They pretend to be special, but they are not. For the amount they charge you would expect more.

What a suprise! A short drive from the north of Amsterdam (15 minutes) and you arrive in the beautiful village "Broek in Waterland". The restaurant is located at a beautiful location just behind the church. We had a delicious dinner. The menu, 5 courses, was very cooked and presented nicely on the plates. Staff are doing their best to provide you everything you need for a lovely evening. The restuarant is located in an old villa and the dining room of this villa is also gourgeous. Their is a terrace so when the weather is nice, you can have your dinner outside. Highly recommended!

Good food and very helpful staff. What was really good was that the staff listened to our preferences and how we liked our meat cooked and we had a really enjoyable evening. A lovely place to go for a celebration or family meal.

We came to this restaurante by chance, because the one that we were looking for was fully booked. I was a little dipleased about having dinner in a Mediterranean restaurant in Broek... but I was surprised! The place is charming, as all the village, and the mix between the mediterranean music and flavours and the nordic light and landscape outside the windows was totally fascinating. The menu is interesting, not obvious at all and it's a well balanced fusion between italian, spanish and local cousines. I had a plate of cod with bitter-sweet sauces and tasty vegetables, my husband a menu with a wonderful entree of smoked meat and the local lamb that tasted really good. Our daughters had a perfectly cooked beef filet and - surprise! - a good pasta. We chose a portuguese wine in a totally decent list of mediterranean bottles and we were not disappointed. The bill was completely honest for the quality of the dinner.

This is a relatively new restaurant in Broek in Waterland, in a beautiful old house. Service is very friendly and the food is excellent. We come to Broek in Waterland at least once a year on holiday and will certainly want to come back to the Broekerhuis. We wish the resdtaurant every succcess! Highly recommended.

The Broekerhuis is a very nice restaurant. There are several restaurants in Broek in Waterland, but this is definitely one of the best. I prefer De Drie Noten more because food is even better there, but if you want a more classy dinner I would certainly go for this one!
