Jim's does a great job on all their food. It's unique and delicious. I've tried several items on the menu and find the beef eater sandwich to be one I keep coming back to. You dip the sourdough sandwich in au jus... and what else do I need to say?

Smaller Restaurant in the downtown, Peoria Heights Business District,...Business Casual to casual dress. Wide variety of great foods for both lunch and dinner. They have specific serving hours for both lunch and dinner, so check those before visiting. There is a bar on-site,...GREAT. Steaks, daily luncheon specials, and a favorite restaurant of locals who want good food and a good... More

My friend and I were looking for a lunch spot on a Monday when some restaurants were closed and found Jim's Bistro hoping it was as good as Jim's Steakhouse. It was a very good lunch spot, friendly staff and nice selection of food. I had a burger--very good--with the steak fries. These were hand cut and tasted okay, but... More

Went to Jim's when one of local favorites, Publik House, was way too busy. We got seated right away. It has a nice atmosphere, and we had great service. We both got steaks, very good. We also got potato skins, which were huge, and we couldn't really eat them all and still have room for our steaks. The service was... More

My wife and I stopped in for dinner and both ordered a steak, both steaks for over done, very disappointed.

We went at 430 when they opened on a Sunday. Place was not busy yet. Host told us we "could stay but he needed table by 6". How rude! We were 4 paying guests. Food was great but being made to feel second class was not. Won't be back.

It is really happening in the Heights. Jim's offer sidewalk dinning and sidewalk menu. You can get the regular menu on the sidewalk also. The steak salad is my favorite, but the burgers or steaks are fabulous. With full service bar it is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

I just stopped at Jim's Bistro driving by, and by chance, really. Late lunch, not too busy place. I had a Blue Burger, i.e. the steak burger with the blue cheese. Now, was that a smart choice! Thank you for suggesting it, Kelly! The burger was one of the very best I have ever had -- juicy, tasty, fresh lettuce,... More
