Very romantic location. Great Malbec. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. No complaints! Will definitely go back.

We dropped in for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was pretty quiet at around 5:45, but it picked up rapidly. We were seated in the west dining room - a long room with a lot of tables. We sat down and had prompt service. My wife had a martini, and it was fine. It was time to order... More

We were recently here with a business group. Felt welcome as soon as we entered the door! We enjoyed some good drinks and we both ordered ribeye. The ribeye was excellent. Couldn't eat it all ~~ have leftovers the next night! Even as leftovers it still had that awesome flavor!! We also enjoyed the chocolate-chocolate cheesecake. That was totally tasty... More

We had great service for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress Sarah was very attentive to us and came by frequently enough for drinks and food orders as well as during our meal. She asked if we were celebrating and came out at the end with some ice cream and sang with other staff. The steaks were pretty good for the... More

This is a true "on the river country steak house" at its best. Everything from my rib-eye to Kathleen's shrimp scampi to Paul's NY strip steak to Julie's gyros were great. From the bar to the table the service was over the top.

Great place! Food was good, staff was great. All around great experience. They even brought us ice cream with a candle and sang Happy Anniversary to us. We will be back!

This place used to be the bomb. It is under new ownership now so we thought we would give it a try. Quite frankly I am shocked at most of the reviews claiming that they enjoyed the food. We had a terrible experience here about 2 months ago while out to dinner with my parents. To begin with, the place... More

As great a steak as any fancy (and more expensive) steak house. Always great service and great cocktails, too!

Lovely location. A little loud-can hear other conversations at other tables and the bar. Food was good- ribeye steak split with my husband and sweet potato for side. Disappointed no vegetables. Wish server had told us it wasn't included. Dessert was a torte- nothing special just chocolate. Best was a apple caramel martini.

We almost didn't stop here while we staying at White Pines but am I glad we did! My 10 oz. filet wrapped in bacon was probably one of the best I've had in the past ten years. My husband could not finish his ribeye special because of its size. Salad bar and hot Texas Toast accompanies every order. The service... More

Description
Whether it's a day trip from Chicago or a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Oregon is less than 2 hours away from Chicago and offers many outdoor activities. Its a great place to visit. The Steakpit offers amazing hospitality and awesome food. Specializing in steaks cooked over an open charcoal pit. We also offer a fresh fish of the week. We have a different fresh fish flown in every week. (Call and ask what our fish of the week is, if you are a seafood lover) The Steakpit has been a staple in the community for over 3 decades. We are known for our steaks but our menu has a lot more than just steaks to offer.
