Enjoyed a huge meal with friends here: Omlettes, Sandwiches, Salads, Soups, etc. Overall, everyone seemed pleased with their Food. There's a bakery & deli too. Lots of American standards & Jewish food - yum! 2 of us had the Sweet Sour Cabbage soup - it was way too sweet, sadly, & we had looked forward to this so much... oh... More

Never been there before...walked in and the place was dirty. Not very well decorated either. Very dated and unwelcoming décor. Probably should have left. The usual spot where the server doesn't greet you; just takes your order. Then they come with several plates lined up on their arm and crash them on the table before you. Never came back to... More

I've eaten at many of Chicago's delis over the past ... many years! Markon's, Unique's of Hyde Park, Seaway, Manny's and Sammy's. New York, what more do you say? LA(?) Brent's and Langer's. M&B reminds me of Rascal House in the north Miami Beach area. Especially with the rolls at the table. It's good but misses. On the mega matzo... More

Sometimes you just want a bowl of chicken soup - and if its Passover, Matzah ball soup. There's is almost as good as your grandmother made. This particular day we came in for breakfast. My niece ordered a yummy sausage omelet (huge portions) and my husband and I ordered Potato pancakes with grilled nova, creamed cheese and cucumbers. Perfect for... More

Have been to this restaurant many times, over many years. Never had anything which was not good. Prices are reasonable and the variety of food is extensive. Also a great bakery and deli on site. Service is a little slow but worth waiting for. Staff are always friendly. Recommend!

We come to Max & Benny's for bagels and we are never disappointed. The staff is grumpy, but the bagels are divine. Can't get enough of their bagels

We stopped here to have a good lunch and bring lunch home for our daughter. My husband had the Chicken Mish Mosh and absolutely loved it! My son and I shared a Reuben as it is quite large and delicious! My son and I each a bowl of matzo ball soup! All our choices were great and with great service!

Went twice in one weekend. First time for breakfast. The omelets are very large - 4 eggs. Was not very impressed with the side of fruit - very very small. Bagels were very good. Charging for a small cup of Cream Cheese??? Dinner was excellent most of us had sandwiches - not a single bad meal.

It is a typical Jewish deli and a large, diverse menu with all the favorites. My parents love it - I don't, but it could just be me. I cannot eat iceberg lettuce, and yet, it's like dark leaf salads don't exist here...so salads are out. And because of other food sensitivities limiting my diet, that large menu shrinks. No... More
