A great Mom/pop type privately owned establishment with great food and large portions. Everything appears prepared on site and not out of cans. We will go back.

Been driving by for a long time, finally decided to stop and eat. Now we are kicking ourselves for stopping sooner. Awesome food and excellent prices. Heard they were known for fried chicken, so that's what he had. Now, I will say that it was not the best friend chicken I've ever had in my life, but it definitely ranks... More

A quaint modest family eatery located in center of the small town. The menu covers various meals surely one to meet your taste. Fast and friendly service with decorations to view to remind you of the past. We asked a man leaving if the food was good, he stated he has eaten there daily for years and it is the... More

Stopped in twice coming back from vacations. Fried chicken and soups are really good and the price is great! Worth a stop in. The place was packed at 5 on a weeknight. Lots of locals. Hidden gem I believe.

Hubby and I wanted some home-cooked supper before we got to the traffic of St. Louie on our Northwest trip, and we found this little spot on Trip Advisor right off the interstate. We are both pleased as punch ... food was excellent. I ordered a chef's salad, and what a surprise: Most places fix a bowl of lettuce/greens and... More

Nothing over the top special, just good food, and friendly service. Never had anything bad from here, but the chicken is always great.

After eating their meatloaf, beets, and slaw - I seriously thought my Grandma must have been in the kitchen! It was delicious! Good stop after leaving St. Louis!

Found this gem while heading home from vacation, was a close jaunt from I-57. Group of 8 had excellent fast service and amazing food, no matter what's ordered. You have to leave room for some homemade pie and ice cream at the end. One of the best stops on our trip!
