My wife and I wanted a nice dinner and got an average dinner to say the least. The salad bar was OK but something tasted like it sat out to long. The main course was average and the waitress, who I think has been there since the place was built...was not having her best day.

We arrived at Gale Street Inn on time, with a reservation for 20 people. We didn't get waited on until 45 minutes later. Then, it took another hour and a half for everyone to get their food. It took another hour to get our bill. They refused to split our bill so 20 people had to divide everything up, when... More

Recently my wife and I along with other members of our family enjoyed dinner at the Gale Street Inn. The menu was quite expansive and all entree selected were very good. Service was equally good as was the atmosphere.

Good old fashioned Wisc Super Club type restaurant. Great salad bar and the Ribs do fall off the bone. Large dining area and quiet enough you can still carry on conversations with friends

I love everything about this place except I am a food snob. The food is plentiful and inexpensive. However, I think it is average on tasty items. Once in awhile average eating is Ok.

Food was good, but a $2 up-charge to request a baked potato instead of greasy french fries is price gouging. For this reason we will not be going back again.

If you loved the 60s and 70s, this will take you there. The salad bar and relish tray took me right back in time. The food is fine. There aren't lots of risks taken, but sometimes you crave the familiar.

I haven't been to this place in quite awhile and the last time I was it was just for drinks. I went this time for a wedding rehearsal luncheon. The menu was preset and we could pick from it. There was baked chicken breast in a mushroom sauce, prime rib, top sirloin, ribs, shrimp and ribs... It came with a... More

From the moment you walk into the restaurant you will say cozy is the word. The restaurant had a lot more ambience when it was across the street right on the lake but still has its' aura. Wait staff is hit or miss depending on who you get. There are some who have been there since the Desoto was a... More
