We stopped here for lunch after walking around the Burrator Reservoir. At first we weren’t even sure it was open as it didn’t look much from outside but inside it was warm and the staff were friendly. The food was just what we wanted. Classic...More

It is always of great compensation when 'positives' outweigh 'negatives', the past 5 reviews recently endorsing our efforts to offer a warm welcome, decent fairly priced meals, and a selection of drinks to suit all tastes. Your comments are very much appreciated, thank you, and...More

I am most thankful for your kind comments, another review that offsets the remarks of 'that' previous review with regard to our fayre, and above all our staff. My sincere thanks and trust we may welcome you again in the future.

Your kind remarks are most gratefully noted. Another review that contradicts the rather hurtful remarks of the earlier post in respect of 'cold food' and 'rude staff'. We are delighted you enjoyed not only your stay with us but the fayre, ale and accommodation and...More

Yet another post that confirms we are meeting the standards we desire. Sadly the speed of some motorists through the village is utterly thoughtless, reckless and annoying. An ongoing 'thorn in the side' of the local community for quite some time. The final remark as...More
