You can’t possibly leave hungry. The food is rich and filling. The portions are generous. They have a huge selection of beers and a knowledgeable wait staff. The food here is on par with eating in Munich. I prefer the dining room to the bar...More

From the reviews I had pretty high expectations but I was somewhat disappointed. The pretzel appetizer and cheese curd appetizer was very good. The bread was somewhat stale. The cheeseburger was way over cooked. The goulash was very bland. The bbq ribs were just okay....More

Over 20 years we come to this restaurant to enjoy great pork shank (Eisbein in Germany, Schwein Hax'n here) which is really tasty, and staffed cabbage with beer and wine. It is very hard to have Eisbein anywhere except in Germany.

The Schnitzel is pork at the Bavarian Lodge. Other variations are also available with chicken, a mixture or pork and beef, and even a vegetarian option. No veal, however.
