They always make you feel welcome. I tend to always get the turkey sandwich on a Kaiser roll as it is very tasty and a good value. They have lots of other items on the board that other customers have their favorites. They are truly a little neighborhood favorite.

My wife was craving Matzo ball soup and this was the only location that served that soup in close proximity. I am glad I ran in here. My son wasn't sure about the Yummy, therefore, he ordered a hot beef brisket sandwich. I wasn't much hungry but wanted to try there latkes (potato pancakes). My son loved his sandwich but... More

Burt's is an old time deli. I had read that their signature sandwich is anything with their own corned beef. So, I had to try it! I have to admit that Burt's Reuben sandwich was one of the best I have eaten! The corned beef was tender, moist and not fatty at all. My husband ordered a plain corned beef... More

This is not your typical dell. It is ok at best. The corned beef is not bad but you can go to Highland Patk for better deli food.

My favorite is a reubin with no sauerkraut. Have him warm it. It will melt in your mouth. Add chips and a vintage soda and you cannot forget the italian butter cookies. If you want to take meat home it is VERY expensive. I cannot splurge to do that so I just get my sandwich occasionally as a treat. Ask... More

Heard about Bert's from a fan & went in for Brunch for a lox & bagel sammy. It was prepared before my eyes, piled high with Nova lox, chive cheese, tomato & red onion. OMG, I was back on Devon ave. in the 70's! Could only finish 1/2 so took the other 1/2 home for later. Excellent new pickles too.... More

OK....Burt's is not a place of great atmosphere. It's small. BUT, if you LOVE corned beef, this is the place to go. Ralph seems to never stop slicing the stuff and they give you a pickle while you wait in line. My kind of place. Plus, I think they probably put close to a pound of corned beef on a... More

Burt's Deli has the best corn beef around and if you love corn beef sandwiches you'll love Burt's. It's just a small deli in Libertyville's south side which serves a veriety of deli stuff. And if you like corn beef and pastrami you gonna love his yummie sandwich. Did I mention large dill pickles, yes. It's just a great place... More
