Upscale Italian prepared with style and flair. Pleasant ambience. Generally knowledgeable servers. Dined there many times and never had a bad meal.

The service was excellent. Our server happened to be the chef's wife who is also a chef. Her suggestions were on the mark. The food was scrumptious - the best bass I have had in ages.

We were actually at Borolo's for a wake a few week ago. There were 20 of us in the party hosted by my son-in-law. The food was very good, not the best I have had but very acceptable. The atmosphere was very elegant. We had good service for such a large group. The food is priced in the range I... More

While the menu offers a variety of traditional Italian foods, the specials were even more interesting, putting interesting flavors together with the traditional. I had the noche with bacon, and it was very good. The restaurant also has a good selection of wines.

/Users/tom/Desktop/Barolo's.pdf Poor food . Went with another couple . Two of the orders were not what we ordered. A third order did not have the kind of pasta ordered. Our guest had a red "hot" sauce" on her manicotti. Two of us sampled her dish and agreed it was like a "latin" hot sauce. A letter has been mailed to... More

This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. I had the Rigatoni alla Sinatra and it was outstanding and will be returning here for Valentine's day with my wife. They will have some special items on their menu for that day. Kayla, our server did a great job attending to our every... More

As a local, I've visited here about 4 or 5 times since they opened. It is pretty inside and the service is always pretty good. They make it a point to explain every time that they have their own independent chef who kind of does things on a whim and the menu is different often. A few times they brought... More

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our evening program and we had a free dessert coupon from our hotel. What a surprise! Portions are generous so don't be surprised if you have no room for dessert. The risotto with chicken and portabella mushrooms was so good I couldn't keep my date off my plate. The service staff... This was my second time here, and it was just as good the second time! Both times I got one of the (fish) specials, and both times they were very good. They have nice portion sizes for the price. The bread was a little bland, but that was free, so I can't say much about that. Also, I had the... More

First and foremost, if you are looking for a real sit-down restaurant, amazing and original food, excellent service and atmosphere...Barolo is the best restaurant in Joliet. I know. I have lived here for over 12 years. However, Joliet is full of burger joints, chicken shops, beef & sausage places, taco trucks, etc. In my opinion, when I look at Tripadvisor,... More
