The night was nasty -- cold, rainy, windy. We just wanted to find a place to eat and get warm. I asked the server what she would suggest on such a night. She suggested a hot buttered rum. I can say that never ... never in my decades of life have I tasted such a wonderful brew! It was hot,... More

Stopped in for dinner on a whim on a Saturday evening. The food was good and the atmosphere was amazing. The entertainment was great and Joy behind the bar had some awesome drink recommendations for us!

I had the surf n turf and my wife had the chicken kabobs. Both were excellent. We came here on the night they had Irish dancers followed by a performer doing a variety of songs, mostly Billy Joel and Elton John. The Irish dancers were kids from a school where they taught Irish dance and they were good. The performer... More

We were looking for a bite to eat on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and this place popped up on our search as close by. When we got there, the place was empty and we thought it was closed. Much to our surprise, they offered to re-open the kitchen for us! We both had burgers, which were good and tried the... More

We enjoy Irish food and after reading several favorable reviews, decided to stop in and try it out. Our visit was on a Wednesday in the middle of November--not too busy. The service was great. We ordered the fish and chips to share. Glad we did as the portions were large. On the other hand, the fish was just ok.... More

As a regular traveler to Ireland I have always enjoyed stopping in here when in Galena for a bit of Irish. This time it wasn't so great, a sparse Monday night with a thin crowd and the service was SLOW. But more than that there is now a massive flat screen that you can see from everywhere, especially in the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent experience in the Pub. We were surprised by your reaction to the large digital display screen as many guests have enjoy the enhancement. As you have mentioned, not only is there great footage of Ireland's countryside, but guests have posted their own birthday and anniversary messages. Just... More

My wife and I loved this place. Our waitress/bartender, she does it all, was great. I had a Grilled Salmon and the wife had Shepard Pie. Very Good. We had about 5 cocktails and the bill was about $61, plus tip. The best was they had my favorite drink, Tullamore Dew. We will definitely be back. Good eats at a... More

We ate here twice because we were staying in the hotel. The service was very good. We only got apps both times we ate there. The spinach dip was very good. The chicken alfredo flatbread was pretty soggy and the side of fries was not good. We got the chocolate chip cookie dessert and that I don't recommend. The cookies... More

Nice ambiance, although our table was near where the servers gathered, chatted (very loudly!), and waited for more customers. Probably due to an early dinner (5:30). Prices are average for Galena, but the Fish and Chips were outstanding! Next time, we'll order only one meal to share and then order dessert or an appetizer.
