Old school ice cream parlor right in Forest Park, all sorts of great flavors! I had just a vanilla scoop but it was so thick and fresh. My boyfriend had cookie dough and cow tipping in a waffle bowl, he loved them both. This place also had tons of dessert options to choose from. We'll have to come back to... More

Nice local ice cream parlor with an old fashioned feel. Sort of pricey but you can tell that it's quality home made ice cream which can be hard to come by nowadays. You definitely get what you pay for!

Great old time ice cream parlor the décor is great. I though that the price was a bit high. The ice cream was good but if you are familiar with artesian ice cream is a bit watered down and the nuts in the ice cream seamed stale or soft.

For some reason people dig this place but it cannot seriously be for the ice cream. Just look at the photos other people have posted and you can see how much water is in the ice cream. It really is B grade quality. If you want Dean's ice cream just go to the grocery store and get a 1/2 gallon... More

I recently had my mother's 90th birthday there. She had her 80th, and 85th there as well. Staff is great! A wonderful place with the best ice cream and creations.

The Brown Cow is a hidden gem! A hole in the wall with the best ice cream in the area! Whenever we eat on Madison street dinner is always followed by the Brown Cow. Homemade and delish!! Get the chocolate peanut butter for PB lovers❤️❤️

Brown Cow is completely delicious and serves amazingly large portions of ice cream The "Brown Cow" is served in a milkpail and serves (at minimum) 2 people. It is in a neat building on Madison, and has the feel of a classic neighborhood ice cream shop. We received great service, too, and we were in a group of 9 people!... More

Been going here since it opened ten years ago. So glad the family, named Brown, have succeeded running their own business when many gelato and ice cream places nearby have shut down, including Ben and Jerry's. I don't even like chocolate peanut butter ice cream, but Brown Cow's made a convert of me. The ice cream birthday cakes are out... More

Located in the heart of Forest Park, this charming ice cream parlor offers a large variety of flavors and treats. We went with two very basic choices -- 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip in a dish, and a 2 scoop hot fudge sundae. The scoops of ice cream are very generous. And unlike some mint ice creams that have... More
