The area around is sketchy, but don't let the stop you from eating here. So many options, such good food, great service and even a grocery store attached. I had the veggie enchiladas and was not disappointed. I opted for leaving out the peppers but still had enough for lunch and dinner that evening. The guacamole and cheese dip were... More

I met friends I used to work with for lunch. It's close to where they work in East St Louis and they have an hour for lunch. One of my friends is of Mexican descent and she enjoys the authenticity of the food and the attached grocery store. The restaurant has added on a large dining area in the last... More

The food is wonderful here. Especially El hombre (all the meats). Vegetarian quesadilla was excellent too! This is not a chain restaurant - it is the real deal. Salsas and picantes are full of flavor. Nicely decorated and mariachis too some days. Get off the beaten path and experience real Mexican cooking! Grocery store right next to it. Lots of... More

This is a favorite among my friends and I. The restaurant is housed in a very unsuspecting building, in the rear of a mini mart/grocery. One would never guess the immense seating area available in this building. They have recently added on another huge dining room and a patio. The food is exceptional- more authentic than more other places I've... More

Stopped by with a large group and they had a buffet set up for us. The food was good I think I will go back to order off the menu and see what they have. We had the quesadillas and they were good. The large beer is huge so make sure you are very thirsty if you order one.

It is worth the trip to Fairmont City for great authentic Mexican food! Service was not the best, but our waitress was serving the entire place so she was doing the best she could. She was super friendly though and had a positive attitude. Overall, great food and worth the trip! They also have a fantastic selection of tequila that... More

Had a family gathering here for dinner one evening. Though many family members raved about the place, it was just okay to me. It may be because I'm used to Mexican/Tex-Mex dishes in Arizona, Cali or Texas. Even some "Mexican" dishes in Germany taste better to me. The place lost me at a Chimichanga which was not deep fried but... More

I went with my classmates and Spanish instructor for a chance to try authentic mexican food. I had a great time. The customer service was great and I can't wait to go again!

Nice place with very good food, mix of authentic and Tex-Mex style, but a mixed bag overall. The chips and salsa were disappointing. The chips are very thick and dull. The salsas were hot but not especially tasty either. The main entrees were delicious, though. I tried something called Moleando, or something like that. It was made with soft corn... More

If you want real Mexican food this is the place to go. The moment we walked in we felt as if we were in Mexico. The decor is authentic. The food is fabulous and the hospitality is just as if you are in Mexico. Abraham was our waiter and he was very friendly and helpful. The menu has a wide... More
