I was moved to write a very unhappy review which I'm not accustomed to doing. Glenn was our server. We started with a desire for a beer. Many were beers I never had heard of which has never stopped me but when I asked for a taster I was told there is a $1 charge. Only once have I seen... More

We walked in and we're quickly seated. Drinks ordered fairly fast food order soon after. We wound up getting 2 salads and a flat bread. The food seemed to take awhile for what it was but the flat bread might have been slowing the order down. I had the Cobb salad which was pretty good nothing special. My wife had... More

This is actually a real nice place located in the heart of downtown DeKalb. Pretty much a bar / sandwich place for the college town patrons. Service was very good. The menu has a lot of choices but my diet is very restrictive to high carb / high sugar food. Therefore sandwiches and big bread / potato choices are out... More

When we get a chance, we love to come here for their burgers and especially the onion soup. It is so tasty. They have excellent sandwiches too. Half a Sandwich and this French onion soup is sooooo good.

O'Leary's Ale House, located in downtown DeKalb, is a good spot for a quick bite or drinks and dinner with friends. The food is good and the atmosphere is comfortable for all ages.

Came across this when looking for restaurants on my GPS. This was an excellent find. The food was great. Being an Irish pub we ordered the fish and chips, they were excellent. The establishment was very clean and the service was excellent. We would recommend this establishment highly.

Like many restaurants O'Learys the food can be uneven at times. They have a separate lunch and dinner menu. I enjoy the pastas most. They added chicken taco's, that I really enjoyed this last time. I have given up trying to get a Gold Cadillac margarita, but the Cosmopolitan's are first rate.

Had a chef salad with slow roasted turkey and a cornbread muffin. Delish! The "Ale House" looks like a fixture for the locals, Unfortunately I was not able to have a dinner and beverage to get a better feel. If in the area, I will be back1

Thank John W
