My blackberry pie was the flakiest ever! The lunch buffet had all my favorites, beef stew, fish, cabbage, carrots, and green beans. My son loved the homemade croutons and my husband his rhubarb pie. Worth a visit just for fun!

Eleven of the Effingham HOG Chapter members rode down Oct 23. For Sunday Buffet. Waitress's seated us and were very friendly. Took our drink orders right away. We all told them we wanted the Buffet. Food is excellent, hot and plentiful. WE WILL BE BACK.

I have only eaten the buffet here each time but there is a reason for that. The food is good. I see no reason to order off the menu because I enjoy buffets and this is no exception. The good quality is above average for a buffet but the choices are limited compared to bigger chain buffets. That has never... More

We live about 20 minute from Pistol City and eat there regularly. I have never had a bad meal. Their buffets are well maintained and the Friday seafood buffet is especially good. Homemade cakes and pies are excellent. Good food, at a good price.

Have driven by many times but never stopped before. I thought it was mostly a bar. But it is mostly a restaurant. We were in a hurry so we ate the Sunday buffet and was very surprised that it was very good. The service was good and the atmosphere was OK. Could use some updating and snow removal. But all... I was born and raised in Coulterville, when I came back to visit my folks I always tried to work in a visit to Pistol City, Mom and Dad have passed so sadly now when I go visit them at the cemetery I still work in my Pistol City visit. Best place in SO IL to eat.

Their food is good, but it is their breakfast that is my favorite. It is the only place left that I can get whole hog sausage, or at least it tastes like it. That with the ham and cheddar omelet, is the perfect breakfast.

This place is amazing! My husband was working near here and went for breakfast one morning. The next morning he took our whole family and from then on, we were hooked. Whenever we are within 50 miles of here we make a point to eat here. It is extremely well priced. The green beans and macaroni and cheese are like... More
