Ate here last night and it proved a very positive experience. Everything happened at a very relaxing pace. A new menu, so I followed the manager's advice and had the skate wing for my main....this is a fish I have never eaten before, but it...was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Just be warned that the excellent seafood chowder is very filling....you need to bring a huge appetite!! The wine list is really interesting, and I was delighted to find a selection of dessert wines by the glass, a real rarity in Ireland. I am going back this weekend to sample the brunch.More

We were in the Bellevue restaurant this evening, I'm very glad that we did visit!! We originally went in for an early bird, but went with selections from the main menu! In hindsight we didn't need to - but it doesn't matter because what we...got was amazing! Herself started with the Korean sticky chicken, while I has the beef carpaccio. The carpaccio was excellent, but I have to say it was somewhat overshadowed by the sticky chicken! Dee had the Salmon Risotto, while I had the fillet steak for mains. Again Wow! ... When an Italian lady recommends an Italian dish in an Irish restaurant, you should listen!! :) .... It was properly excellent! I hadn't had fillet steak in a long time, and I certainly was not disappointed! We washed our food down with a lovely bottle of albarino. Dessert needs it's own paragraph!!! We had Brioche doughnuts with orange and chocolate sauce with orange ice cream! Wow is a total understatement! I've never had orange flavoured ice cream before, and have to say that the combination of flavours in this dessert was just amazing! The coffee was really good too - we had a Latte and a cappuccino! The people who work here are all lovely, friendly and couldn't do enough for us - which was a very nice experience. I like this restaurant, the ambience, decor, lighting is all tailored to be relaxing, and this was all accompanied by relaxing music, which was a t such a volume to be in the background, and not competing with attempts for conversation! I think it's very interesting that the menu changes on a regular basis. If all the courses are of the quality that we had earlier this will be a great way of keeping everything exciting! The food was so good that we will most certainly be returning on a regular basis. I am already looking forward to seeing what's on the next menu! I thought the bill was reasonable! I have paid more for less in the past!More

The Décor is very good & the setting is lovely, with an indoor section, covered section and outdoor section The light levels indoor are very low and most people needed the torch on their phone to see the menu Both times we ate here the...starters were very good However both times the mains were a disaster My first time the meat was just not good enough and I left most of the food on my plate A bit surprised when asked was everything OK with the amount of food not eaten, sides were very greasy and main was over seasoned On the second trip when I asked about 2 of the main courses the answer I got back was, One is Chicken and the other is Pasta We waited for over 40 mins for the mains, when they arrived they were both way over cooked, the Chicken dish did not know if it was a broth or a Chicken dish with sauce, I think the Chef realized it was over cooked and soaked it in lots of sauce to introduce some moisture, both dishes were very heavily over salted I would love if the food was better as this really is a lovely setting and only a 15 min walk from our homeMore

Excellent restaurant. Delicious food, great menu , well priced, lovely atmosphere and great service. Perfect for dinner for two, family dining or larger groups.

Superb menu and wine list available. Food was fresh and presented beautifully. My starter choice was Yellow Fin Tuna followed by a Filet steak cooked to perfection. Ambience is relaxed with friendly and well trained staff. Nice outdoor area. Will definitely be back.

I would rarely write a Tripadvisor review that has no negative points, but there is a first for everything. Myself and my wife had a relatively small number of guests that we wanted to celebrate our wedding with and because of the need for outdoor...dining etc, we needed a restaurant that ticked a few specific boxes. From the moment we enquired in person with the Bellevue about our requirement, we were met with pure professionalism and respect. Just to note, the Bellevue were totally compliant with Covid precautions throughout their property which provided a good amount of reassurance to us. Although our entire party were fully vaccinated, knowing that the establishment followed all requirements and precautions was a relief. Mark (the manager) took care if everything we needed from start to finish. I could not be more appreciative of Mark. What a professional manager and such a genuinely decent man. Mark could not have done more for us and the attention he paid to everything for us was incredible. We had 30 guests seated outside and had a 3 course meal. Thankfully the weather was fantastic on the day. The menu choice was perfect, the Korean fried chicken starter went down well along with the soup and duck and the Steak was a hit with everyone. If you are hungry, you wont be disappointed with the fish and chips, although it's nearly a challenge to finish it all! With a full bar offering for the drinks, you would not be left wanting for your favourite tipple either. The house red and white is amazing also and very reasonably priced. I settled on the merlot and it went down very well. After dinner, we decided to book the Heritage room for after meal drinks. This was a great idea. It's a large room but not too large and has it's own bar. With ample seating for guests, it provided a great area for family and friends to chat and enjoy a few hours after their meal. A special word of praise also has to be mentioned to the staff who looked after us. I could not fault any of the team that looked after us. They were so professional, courteous and helpful. They could not have done any more to help us or make us feel looked after. The service was absolutely incredible and every guest we had commented on how wonderful they were. All in all, we had a fantastic afternoon and evening at the Bellevue Restaurant and I would highly recommend the Bellevue for any occasion, from a nibble to a meal to a group occasion.......you would definitely not be disappointed.More

Excellent food. The Korean chicken starter was fantastic. Our steaks were delicious. The bannoffi was very cleverly presented under a chocolate dome. The surroundings are very comfortable and the service was absolutely flawless. Thank you

Husband and I went for dinner with 2 friends for only the second time in 18 months after Covid and we were super surprised with the dinner. The atmosphere was lovely - chilled, yet buzzy with the tables nicely spaced outside. (in fairness it was...a glorious evening outside which always helps!). The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu was so full of tasty choices that we struggled to pick our favourites. Both dishes were excellent. We both went for steaks for mains - his a strip and mine a fillet) and they came furnished with fried onions and chips - really tasty and decent portions. We all had deserts and the menu had something for every taste with a large selection of aperitifs. Each of the dishes was tasty and very nicely put together visually. We are all local and were blown away by the quality of the food and so lucky that this is on our door step. We will be back!!More

Finally out for a sit-down dinner in 2021... That took a while. And very enjoyable it was start to finish. Attentive, accommodating, friendly service and one tasty dish after another. We had goats cheese salad, prawns with chorizo, rib eye steak, fish and chips +...desserts. All starters and mains were excellent, whereas dessert was more a solid 7/10. Our first time eating here and we'll be back. Delighted to add another excellent local restaurant to our list of places to come back to for dinner.More

Lovely Father’s Day meal . Busy when we arrived but service and food excellent, great selection of starters and mains , the steak was on the money 👌look forward to visiting again soon.

Dining here on a Saturday night. Food and service were both both excellent and wine was surprisingly good value and very good quality. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Korean chicken starter is to die for!

Had a lovely meal here last night my meal was delicious. Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff so will definitely be back.
