And wow does Sepia once again come through. While the artisanl cheese board was fairly typical (arent they all really? Most everywhere?) The entrees were EXCELLENT. I had the bone marrow dumpling in truffle consomme'. It really was perfect. The two sides we got to share were well received. Dessert was a black walnut cake that was moist, just the... More

My wife and I received a gift certificate to the restaurant and we're excited to try it out! I recommend getting a reservation if you go in the evening! Very modern atmosphere and the staff were extremely professional and attentive. Our dishes were a mix of vegetarian and a great meat. My favorite appetizer was their gazpacho! Outstanding quality wine... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by a colleague. The service was excellent. The salad with lemon zest was great. My main course was undercooked, but the rest of the meal was very good.

Honestly, if I'd had to pay for the meal I had tonight, I'd be pissed off. I started with the kale salad which is described as "kale, rosemary, bosc pears, smoked blue cheese, walnuts." I detected no pears in this salad and very little smoked blue cheese. What the description neglected to mention is that the dressing was apparently some... More

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant, due primarily to the easygoing atmosphere, great service, and of course, great tasting food worthy of its Michelin star. It's easy to see why this is one of Mrs. Obama's favorite spots.

The food here was really good, though the desserts weren't quite up to snuff. We loved the atmosphere, very cozy and inviting.

Good restaurant with a fairly simple menu set in a converted old building. We went for the soup (as it was a cold day) and the carrot salad to start with. For mains we had the chicken and the steak, both of which were delicious and generous portions. Recommended!

Positives - the bar and wait staff were very helpful, fun, and genuine in their interactions. I really like the service. The inside of SEPIA is beautiful. I think it's a renovated bank or print shop so it's great exposed brick and high ceilings. It was truly beautiful. The plating was gorgeous. Everything was served and played with such care... More

Be aware that this place is super loud. I assume that our server was superb and knowledgeable, but I don't know because I could not hear a word she said. Menu was not particularly inspiring. We had the very pricey tasting menu because no single menu item stood out. Food was good, not great, compared with other high end tasting... More

The food (gnocchi starter, duck entree, chocolate shortbread dessert) was perfect in every way. But what BLEW ME AWAY was our beautiful and gracious server, Tangie. I worked my way thru college "waitressing" in coffee shops because "dinner houses" wouldn't hire women, let alone women of color. Dear Goddess, thank you that barrier's been broken --and a one-star Michelin restaurant... More
