so I was in Chicago for 2 weeks during the sweltering month of August. pretty much went every day for the last week I was there. it's amazing. better then gelato and very very addictive, especially when you're a Canadian trying to survive 35+ degree (Celsius) temps with 100% humidity levels. I still have dreams about the deliciousness the friendly... More

Brand new to the idea of an alternative to ice cream, I was a bit skeptical of this place at first. However, all it took was one bite to change my mind. Desserts are a tad pricy, but well worth the experience. I would recommend the strawberry concrete to all fruit lovers!

Their concretes and milkshakes are SO good. Probably not good for the waistline but it's a wonderful treat. The staff is friendly and fast.

More ice cream combinations that you will know what to do with. Even have something for the furry members of the family.

Oh wow! This place is AMAZING!! I had the peanut butter & pretzel concrete, which was so good and so creamy. Loved the big chucks of chocolate covered pretzel mixed in. I'll have to come here more often.

My 10 year old daughter just LOVES "The Blackhawk"...and I have to say, she's right. It's pretty darn excellent! Very friendly staff; great frozen custard; in-store, to-go, and pre-packed. Great neighborhood place!

Went here with my family for a late afternoon ice cream treat. The concrete I had (vanilla with cookie dough) was one of the best I've ever had. They have basic flavors with a hundred different "mix ins" to choose from. Once you go, you'll be hooked! I sure am.

I've had some great ice cream in many cities, but now your custard has ruined ice cream for me! ...can't wait to come back!

We come here every week for the frozen custard or to make root beer floats with vanilla custard and the Sprecher root beer. I tried the raspberry swirl custard by the pint. It was awesome. There are unusual flavors by the pint. The prices are expensive for what you get but its a nice treat.

One of my grandchildren turned 7 years of age, and of course we went to Scooters. Scooters took care of the 9 of us quickly and easily with no errors. There was an excellent sellection, and all of us were satisfied.
