This is the best Char dog in the civilized world. Definitely unlike other boiled in water dogs, and get the Chicago dog, and don't you dare ask for ketchup. Onion rings are also very good.

Service was fast and friendly, pickles were fresh, the dogs were warm but over cooked. Classic hot dog Chicago style, probably won't eat there again, but had to try a Chicago classic. When in Rome...

Trying to imitate a true Chicago Dog. Don't bother. Not a Vienna Dog, slice pickle? Really? One slice if a tomato. Sorry, 25 years ago, this place was the place to get a dog, sadly not anymore.

Overall, the food was average at best. What really ticked me off is they serve a skinless hot dog, so it didn't have the "snap" of a real Chicago dog. They serve the hot dog with a bland, thin pickle slice instead of a robust pickle spear. The fries were frozen, thin cut, nothing special. I knew I should have... More

I know nothing about Chicago style hotdogs, so all I can say is this was like any regular street hot dog vendor only with more variety of toppings. The service was fast, not a lot of seating so I recommend grabbing and going.

While this Chicago hotdog was good it wasn't great. The dog wasn't hot and it didn't seem like the real deal but still very good. It just seemed like the skimped on it. I loved the celery salt and pickles.

We were new to the combination of toppings that make up a Chicago style dog. Didn't even know what a "sport pepper" was. But boy is it good. tomatoes, dill pickle, sport pepper, mustard. Yummy. And of the various places we tried, this was the best. Not much for atmosphere, definitely a quick bite of fast food, but the taste... More

This place is exactly what is suppose to be. Located under the L and in full view of the trump tower the dogs and fries were great. Come here if a great dog with quick service is what you seek.

First, the location was a bit tricky due to the construction, but it was worth the hunt. It is under the L train tracks on Wabash, look for the "Popeye" sign between 2 large "Parking" signs & tables with red/white/yellow umbrellas outside. Excellent service and our dogs were perfect--probably the best hot dog I've ever had. ($21 for 3 dogs... More
