To be perfectly honest, we stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. But if there is one thing I love, it's greasy spoon holes in the wall. I didn't know it at the time, but we were walking into the same Billy Goat Tavern of SNL...More

Long before McDonalds came to Chicago this place was on the map as the downtown quick lunch place. Known for newspaper and TV reporters hangout as witnessed by the gallery of pictures on the walls. Good place to stop after a river boat trip of...More

I was in Chi-Town on business and my co-worker took me here for lunch as we made our rounds through downtown. This is the original! Place is way nostalgic inside with a 1970's vibe (despite the flat screens with ESPN on). Staff are super nice...More

We sought out this place having seen the SNL skit of course, and it's a bit of a challenge to find. It was still morning and we planned to have some breakfast sandwiches but somehow got talked into cheeseburgers by the staff there. It was...More

Cool history downstairs and almost dive-ish. Ordered a double cheeseburger and a double hamburger added 1 chip and 2 soft drinks for about 18 bucks. You fix them yourself with mustard catchup onions and pickles. Mayo is behind counter if you like it. Burger was...More

Great hidden gem under ground. So much history on their walls of all the famous people that have been there. The steak sandwich was great.

The food was so-so. It's all about the atmosphere! This was a must see stop on our trip and did not disappoint.

If you've seen the old John Belushi Saturday night live skit, you'll feel like you just walked into it. It's a Chicago tradition. You get in line and order your food (the suggested double "cheeseborger" would be a great choice) You'll be served in less...More

Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

This place is more of a beer and burger restaurant, so I really wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.

Not sure, but I rather doubt it. Just regular bar food, cheeseburgers, ham and cheese, French fries. It's all about the history, not necessarily the food.

This historic greasy spoon is famous for its role in the legendary Curse of the Billy Goat on the Chicago Cubs and its "Saturday Night Live" cheezborger skit. Remember, no fries, chips!
