Interesting doesn't always mean good and old doesn't always mean they do things well. This place was average - the decor is cute, need to update the linoleum floors. The bar is crowded, the whole place is crowded actually. No where to wait for a table - just very awkward layout. The wine list is very short, the food is... More

After checking into our Chicago Hotel late in the evening we asked the desk where we could go for a bite to eat. They suggested a place close by, the Italian Village, and said it had been around for a while and had pretty good food. I am here to tell you that the front desk at the Hampton Majestic... More

I met my attorney there for lunch today. While I had asked for a booth, we got one that almost looked like a confession booth. We had good martinis, caprese salad and a chicken salad that could have served two others. Good service with a smile from Amanda and a very helpful maitre de. Cannot wait to go back.

I guess this is the hot spot in the downtown area. It was packed when I went to pick up my food. I had the chicken picatta, the entire meal as delicious. The tomato sauce was very rich and flavourful. I like that they add a little container with parmesan cheese on the side so you can add it if... More

Stopped in at 3:30pm for a nice meal with a good friend. Was seated in 3 minutes. Drinks were good. Pasta was excellent! Shared a desert. I always enjoy the IV when in Chicago.

I was staying at the Hyatt Centric across the street and thought that my wife and I would enjoy some Italian Take-Out from the Italian Village. We checked out the website, placed an order by phone, and thought by the time we walked over to the restaurant, our order would be ready. About 10 minutes after placing the order by... More

We met here with friends, we have been here before. The atmosphere is lovely, quaintly Italian and there are several different parts of the restaurant. We went here partially because of the proximity to the Private Bank Theatre, formerly the Schubert, and seeing 'Hamilton' as it is a very short walk down the street. Service was good, the food was... Quick review: delicious Italian food at moderate prices. The dining room is set up like an evening in an outdoor Italian village, with some alcoves "inside" buildings. Friendly, professional service. This place has been on my list for many years, but was often too busy to get table. Today I got one, dining as the theater crowd was leaving. The... More

Such a fun place! Food was good - we had cheese stuffed pasta, lasagna and salad as entrees and delicious garlic bread as an appetizer! Great service and wine choices! We will be back!

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our theatre. The service was IMPECCABLE! They didn't ever let my water glass drop before half full. Great ambience. Wonderful food. Highly recommend trying it out, especially if you're headed up the block to the theatre!
