Made an 11:30 reservation for Sunday brunch. Location easy to find on Lincoln Park Drive, the restaurant is within the historic Belden-Stratford Hotel building. Valet parking is available for $14. We enjoyed the special Eggs scramble with crabmeat & spinach, the bacon quiche & Croque...More

The French onion soup was sweeter than I am used to. They probably did it correctly and carmelized the onions appropriately. A great local gin (CH), excellent wine with a list that, for the most part, stays well under $100. The mussels were superb. Even...More

We returned here after a wonderful stop last year. They have great gluten-free options. However, this time, we were seated awkwardly, ignored by our server, and in general, made to feel like we didn't belong or were not wanted. The food was not good enough...More

This is one of our “go to” spots when we want a complete meal. Before your meal, you get a loaf of fresh baked French bread. We normally split a salad. My husband loves the steak and claims it’s better than most of the steak...More

Lovely, classic French bistro decor. Pleasant patio (opens 3 pm in the summer) across from Lincoln Park Zoo with decent champagne by the glass. The salmon rillette is a bit uninspired, a bland sort of shredded salmon pate/salad with toasted baguette slices. Nice staff.

We wanted to do a special dinner for our anniversary and had heard good things about Mon Ami Gabi. The restaurant is in a boutique hotel in Lincoln Park and includes outdoor dining. I opened with the escargot appetizer and then my wife and I...More

We stopped here for Sunday brunch. Although we were probably not dressed properly (most people were business casual, we were in shorts and t-shirts), no one blinked an eye or looked down on us. My husband and I shared the special which was 2 filets...More

Summertime in Chicago can be idyllic. Eating out outside at classic country French style restaurant. Good well priced wines, great artisan bread and Bouillabaisse night. I will go back next summer and I will be sure it's Bouillabaisse night

This restaurant occupies one of the most charming spaces in Chicago. The ambience and service is excellent and the food offerings are quite good. The garden, weather permitting, is especially nice. Cocktails are not great here but wines (all French I recall) by the glass...More
