This place is amazing! I highly suggest making a reservation. We arrived at our reservation time, but our table wasn't ready. The manager gave us a complimentary Handmade Burrata Cheese appetizer for our wait. I didn't really care for it. We also ordered the Jumbo Crab Cake. It was so good! I had the Filet Mignon Au Poivre and my... More

Tripsters- Our friends visited us last weekend from OKC and I wanted to take them somewhere elegant and fun for brunch. I had been to Mon Ami Gabi once before and liked it so I made us a reservation. What can I say? The restaurant did not disappoint. Like at all. What we loved: Beef Bourguignon Benedict (pictured), Quiche (pictured),... More

It was our first time dining at this French Bistro in Chicago, and a very enjoyable one. Excellent selection of wines, and the bartender makes the perfect Vesper and martinis. Food and service are excellent as well; no parking in the neighborhood, but there is valet parking.

We have gone to Mon Ami Gabi several times and every time it's a winner. There is a casual atmosphere much like a French Bistro. The staff is all very professional and accommodating. The food is always great and there is a nice wine list. I would highly recommend Mon Ami Gabi. I would also highly suggest the other two... More

Not a typical visitor place as it is located in a residential building. Went with a friend who lives in Chicago. The food was terrific and the waiter was exceptional. The food was well prepared (loved the bread!) and hot! Would enjoy returning.

As a picky eater, I didn't think that I would enjoy eating here. On the contrary, they had something for everyone! On the kid's menu, they even had a cheeseburger. The bread and fries were exceptional, and the waiters were extremely nice and polite. They filled our drinks quite often, and came back to check on us a few times.... More

Not sure why I haven't made it here before. Went with 2 girlfriends during the week. It was packed! They were behind with reservations so we popped over to Intro for a cocktail. Then they even came to update us about the table, sent our friend to join us and came to get us. How's that for service to start... More

Weve been going to Mon Ami for at least 10 to 12 years, almost always Lincoln Park. the Oakbrook location is just another mall restaurant. Mon Ami still has charm, location, a good menu, decent service. But like most popular restaurants, the charms decline over time because it's still a food corporation. prices creep up, quality and portions decline. our... More

Description
Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. While the favorites are all here in abundance, there is always something new to try from the ever-evolving menu. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisee & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mere style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites. To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart. Guests will enjoy the airy interior with our large French windows opening out onto the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or in the summer months, the lovely outdoor garden. Please Note: Reservations are taken for indoor seating only. Outdoor patio seating is available on first-come, first-serve bases.
