We ate at Cafe Iberico this evening with family and friends. Having lived in Spain, I always look forward to trying Spanish restaurants. Unfortunately, often times the food is not very authentic. This was not the case here. We tried 7 or so different tapas...More

Cafe Iberico is a staple in Chicago. It has been open at least 20 years. On my recent visit it looked like the place has gotten a complete makeover. Looks wonderful. The thing I love above Cafe Iberico is that you can try so many...More

We love tapas and have been coming here for years. Friendly staff and great food. Very authentic also (we have visited Spain and enjoyed tapas there and this very favorably compares).

This place always fun for a group. Service is has been good and attentive although they always are busy. The menu offers tons of choices, both hot and cold. Food is very tasty. The spicy red potatoes, garlic shrimp, chix croquettes and steak with onions...More

Really enjoyed the white sangria and so many tapas dishes. The bacon wrapped dates, octopus, paella and so many others were amazing! I've been twice now and I'll definitely go back!

Good Paella; would have preferred a bit more socarrat. Tapas delightful; only downside is the place has the acoustics of a boiler factory.

After an afternoon of visiting the One of a Kind art festival at the Merchandise Mart, we had a relaxing dinner of tapas and sangria. They have a gluten free menu which was an added plus. Wonderful service.

Met some other people at Cafe Iberico on a Friday night. I have not been there for at least 15 years. Not sure why it took so long to go back but it did. When we arrived at about 7:30 the place was packed. Fortunately...More

Hello, I don't think that Cafe Iberico sells cheeses not made in Spain. But they do carry a decent selection of Spanish cheeses. From what I understand is gallo azul is not Spanish cheese. The selection of cheeses they do... More

Pay the meter on the same block if available, it is totally worth it & is cheaper than valet. Do be sure to read the no parking signs, they are not always easy to spot unless you check the entire block.

I would say they are very reasonable. I can go with about 7 or 8 people and not go past $200 depending upon what is ordered, including drinks. Tapa servings are meant to be shared so order several.
