Wishbone is a very friendly diner famous for its generous breakfasts. It should get equal credit for dinner as well. It's a slower time but no less friendly and no less delicious. Generous portions of Southern staples are always available - fried chicken, jambalaya, po...More

Wishbone never fails to delight your taste buds. The hash: andouille chicken sausage, brisket, or smoked beef... try them all but hands down, the andouille wins. Spicy and savoury. Just like New Orleans

Great restaurant, superb food, relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Had a wonderful meal here tonight. The Crawfish Beignets are truly amazing, the bread pudding is superb and the Mississippi Mud coffee is perfect on a cold winter evening. Not just fantastic traditional southern food, although that...More

Great hearty and fulfilling food. I had the crap cakes and collard greens and they were the best. For desert had the bread pudding and it was nice and warm and sweet.

On a frigid day in Chicago, nothing warms the body and soul more than some delicious southern cooking served with a smile. The west loop has many trendy, high-priced restaurants these days, and it's a pleasure to eat at a reasonably priced restaurant, with every...More

Been here many times, but this time, small changes pierced my consciousness: (1) we ordered hot tea, and they brought it in a standard water glass. Never seen that anywhere before. Isn’t that dangerous? (2) Menu showed a side of black beans & rice. We...More

Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and
Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is

up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several
sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique
neighborhood to visit. Dotted with factories and

Description
Located one block from Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Studios and perfectly centered between City Hall and the United Center, Wishbone was an early participant in the emergence of the West Loop neighborhood from a commercial area to one of the city's culinary hot spots. We've been here through it all, quietly serving our own unique brand of Southern Cooking.
