Three of us shared several dishes and enjoyed most every one. The baby beets with cheeses were great. The cauliflower with turnips were very good. The parade was good. The white asparagus was too tough. The flank steak was tasty. The shrimp and mussels were OK, but their sauce was too salty. The carrot cake was good - but not... More

Excellent little cafe in a very quaint area. Wait times are high, but in the nicer months you can go hang out in the little park.

Both traditional items and some fun funky stuff on the brunch menu. Got the breakfast burrito and loved it. Fresh, nothing overcooked. You'll wait a while for a table, so consider getting there early. Loved that they broke the New York Times into sections and have it for guests to grab and read. Thoughtful and practical!

Little card but with nice suggestion. I took burrito and it was really delicious. The first place in chicago where eggs k scrambled eggs and omelett are well cook and not overcooked like everywhere in us. In more coffee and mocha are so good

The place was renovated and seems to have lost its old charm. My boyfriend and I began with a White Russian, it tasted like watered down chocolate syrup. The menu was eclectic, had a variety but we thought they could have had some good old fashioned classics. The meal was okay but not worth the price.

A sublime combination of a funky neighborhood place and a Relais Chateau. Very friendly, unpretentious, fabulous creative food. Remains our favorite place in the city and we live downtown--miles away.

Had an absolutely divine meal at Lula's cafe. The vegetarian tasting menu was six courses of perfection. The chef was creative without overdoing it. Each course had its own unique flavors and components yet tied together well with the other courses. Surprisingly large portions for a tasting menu. I cannot recommend this delightful restaurant enough.

We visited after just arriving in a flurry of snow and betwixt and between lunch and dinner service we had wonderful cocktails of whisky sours and mezcal with fresh vegetables kale and Parmesan ans beetroot with chicken 🍗 and roasted potatoes. The ambience is shabby chic and the staff are great. I think we will go back and check 👊... More

Loved everything about our experience here. We even met the owner who was super nice and gave us great suggestions around the city. If you are anywhere in the Chicago area, I suggest you go here. This is gem in the city.

This cafe goes way beyond typical. The flavors are interesting and eclectic, like feta and cinnamon buccatini, black pepper spaetzle or gingerbread French toast with lemon fraiche. And those are just the brunch choices. Service is great, worth the wait.
