First of all, I'm not a fan of most white sauces Second of all, I cannot go to RoSal's and *not* get the Fried Ravioli. I was kind of in a rush on Saturday and that's primarily why I picked RoSal's over Francesca's. The staff here is always great, accommodating, and respectful of the fact I was starving and in... More
RoSal's is absolutely delicious from the appetizers to entrees. The sausage and peppers are a must and the zuppa de mare is my favorite. I have had the veal dishes, chicken dishes and many pastas. There is not one meal that dies not surpass expectations. The service is always great and Joe the owner is friendly, hands-on, and always happy... More
RoSals is my go to place in "Little Italy". The atmosphere is almost as great as the food! The "fried ravioli" is a must!
Thank you Crystal! I appreciate your positive feedback about your dining experience! We do take pride in catering to our guests’ needs the best way we can and appreciate you choosing RoSal's when in the city! Joe More
The food here was excellent. A stop here is definitely worth it. I was there with 3 other people and each of their meals was as good as my own. The service was a little slow, but once the food arrived the wait was the last thing on my mind. Will visit again.
Growing up in Chicago means you should become best friends with Italian food and the restaurants that serve it. This was our visit to RoSal's. We received a warm and welcoming greeting and immediately felt "at home". We were seated upstairs which seems to be geared for parties of 4 or more or if a quiet atmosphere is your preference.... So, RoSal's is one of Chicago's Mom & Pop eateries. Located in the university district, in what was once Little Italy, it's a throw back to a time where the gravy was the most important part of the meal and the kitchen worried only about making people happy. Think Grandma's kitchen on a Sunday afternoon, and you've got RoSal's. Plan... More
Jim, We couldn't have said it better! Your review is exactly how we feel about the importance of our guests experience. Thank you so much for putting into words what RoSal's is all about! We appreciate it very much and look forward to serving you again. Joe, Cyndi, and RoSal's Family More
There are so many good Iti places to visit on Taylor Street. This place is one of the better ones. My neighbor, Hector, took me there. He'd been going for years. Small, cute place but with a banquet room upstairs. Our waitress was delightful. Hector said she'd been there since forever. His drink came up pronto, as did our yummy... More

With the demise of the original Dave's Italian Kitchen, we've become regulars. And that should say it all. Wonderful food. Great, intimate, but not cloying space. The staff appropriately personable, but not in your face. The owner truly caring. Our favs: broccoli salad, stuffed artichoke, eggplant rolls, eggplant parm, cheese ravioli, sauteed spinach. Yazoo!
RoSal's is in a nice Italian Chicago neighborhood. Family run, nice family service. Nice menu, traditional Italian fare. Very reasonably priced. Food is very good, service is friendly. This is where you go with good friends ... Who don't need to be impressed
