I dined here alone on a business trip and enjoyed my dinner. The cocktail menu was interesting, and I had my first cocktail with a whole egg after a discussion with the waiter about the practice. It was delicious and creamy. While many of the options looked lovely, I had the short rib for dinner, and while good, it did... More

We opted for the Prix Fixe menu which is a reasonable price. I had the corn chowder, airline chicken and bourbon bread pudding while my partner had the corn chowder, risotto and german chocolate cake. The chowder was good but when we asked the waiter for some bread or crackers to go with it, he said they didn't have any... More

Reserved through Open Table and included a note that it was our 25th wedding anniversary, so preferred a table on outside of room rather than in the middle. We got a cozy table for 2 in the dining room corner. Our server, Jack, delivered 2 glasses of champagne along with his best wishes, followed by another staff member delivering her... More

A business colleague and I stopped in here late one night for dinner. The place has a nice, simple feel with dining on two different levels. They have both fish and meat dinners and offer a three course fixed meal. The wine list is good with some wines I typically do not see on a wine list in the midwest.... More

Although a hotel restaurant, it is very good. The service and food were great, large portions. Convenient location.

Had lunch here one Sunday afternoon, the place was not too busy and had a nice chilled atmosphere. Very good friendly service though the large woman on the front desk seemed more interested in checking her phone than actually doing any work. Menu has so many inviting and tasty options it was difficult to choose had a fantastic burger though... More

South Water Kitchen is next to the Kimpton Monaco hotel near Wacker Street on Wabash. It's centrally located and easy to get to, particularly if you are staying at one of the many nearby hotels. The name has something to do with a produce market that once stood nearby and they pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients. Many of... More

This is in close proximity to the office I frequent when in town and while their selection isn't extensive, it's a little less crowded than other local options.

We were here months ago and will be staying in the hotel that is connected next week but not sure if we want to give it a try again. Really looked forward to dining here. Beautiful and clean decor. Told them it was my daughters birthday and they said "Happy Birthday" Thanks. I had very very dry chicken dinner that... More

We had 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner here. The first breakfast was light and basic (but good) and the second one was a full breakfast which was excellent. Highly recommend the quinoa breakfast bowl (amazing!). Our dinner was also very good and nicely presented. We lucked out on the MOnday night 1/2 price bottles of wine. Our server was also... More
