My wife and I went to have dinner on a Friday night to this very nice Colombian restaurant. The Menu has very typical Colombian dishes like empanadas, fruit juices from Colombia, picadas, very nice "bandeja paisa", and multitude alcoholic drinks. The food was very good and very typical. At around 10 pm, good Latin American music is played and dancing... More

Waiters A plus! Edgar and David are winners! Manager was great and smelled good, as well. Decor, kind of scary yet interesting. Very dim lights, but made the ambiance nice. Good was great for our first experience, especially the sweet plaintains and hot wings, along with the arroz con pollo. Lots of flavor. The "holy water" was new to me... More

Pueblito Viejo could be a much better restaurant if it was not for a few things... On the plus side, the food is good, and our waiter was very nice. On the other hand, the restaurant does not offer any glasses of water (first I ever seen anywhere), and you have to buy bottled water (but still no glasses). When... More

Hi Jean Marc! Thank you for your detailed review. You literally hit all the points why we released our then management team from their contract. I'm excited to share with you that we've removed the water, coffee and BYOB policy they had implemented without ownership knowing. I'm excited to share with you that Pueblito Viejo is once again run by... More

We have the editor of one of the largest Hispanic Publications as a guest at our table. When he showed up he was wearing a baseball cap and was asked to take it off. He politely indicated that all the men in the next table were wearing sneakers and T-shirts, and one of the girls was wearing a cap as... More

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Bad food; bad atmosphere; discriminatory. I ordered a dish that sounded very good on the menu, but when it arrived everything was deep fried and hard including the rib portion which had bone in it. Even the potatoes were hard as a rock. Do yourself a favor, skip the tacky ceiling... More

This one of a few Colombian restaurants in the Chicagoland area. While I have been to its cousin in the Southport Area, Pueblito Viejo has a friendlier staff, and the management, headed by Wilson, does go out of its way to cater to the diner's needs, to ensure a pleasurable experience. Prices are resonable ($8.00- $15.00) for most entrees, and... More

We're a Colombian restaurant and bar, offering traditional Colombian fare with a full bar menu, DJ and dancing. We specialize in providing our guests with a memorable experience they're sure to enjoy. Please be aware, our restaurant can get rather loud on weekends due to our popular DJs and live musical guests. We offer a comedy show and two musical guests each weekend night. We pride ourselves on offering this entertainment to our patrons for free. It's part of our charm.
