My girlfriends and I wanted to do something different for our yearly birthday dinner. So one of the birthday girls selected Moes....what an excellent choice. The food was great and the music was off the chain. We had an reservation for 7:30pm but because there was a private party on that day, we had to wait until 8:00pm to get... More

First my glass was cracked... obviously that can happen but the waitress was nasty about having to replace it. When my new drink came back it was basically all mixer and no booze. For a $30 pitcher that was full of booze to a no booze drink, unhappy. Then the guac was so-so. The ahi tuna tacos were bland and... More

Chanced upon Moe's Cantina on a Tuesday night when there were loads of discounts going on on the menu. Had a great time sat at the bar and tested out all kinds of dishes on the menu. Some elotes, quesadilla, quest fundido and of course some tacos. All the food was really fresh, good quality and had that great tang... More

We stumbled upon Moe's while walking around Chicago. Even though the place was packed with people, we were able to get a table on the 2nd floor, where its quieter, right away. The staff was quick, attentive and friendly. We tried several different items so we could all try things. Everything we had from the tacos to the drinks and... More

This is the 3rd time I have eaten at Moes. While the food is good I have yet to have a server who was good. My last visit I sat for 10 minutes before leaving since a server never showed up even to take a drink order Tonight I visited again the food was good. I ordered the shrimp tacos... More

Nice atmosphere, casual better than average Mexican style dishes. Shrimp and steak were both prepared nicely and at an affordable price. Nice bar in the back for small gatherings as well!

What a great find, just north of the River in downtown Chicago. We stopped here for lunch, and were very pleased with our choice. There was a nice variety of food and drink on the menu, and we all felt that they were very generous on the serving size. We will definitely visit again.

Found this nice place and really enjoys the taco plates and fajitas. Wonderful atmosphere and specialty drinks. If missing good Mexican food in the city, I highly recommend this cantina.

Established in 2010 Moe's Cantina is located in the River North area, just north of the Loop and the Main Branch of the Chicago River. It features Mexican fare with Spanish and South American influences, including mesquite-grilled skewers, sharable hot and cold plates such as tacos, flautas and Mexican sliders, and full-sized entrees including fajitas, paella and steamed mussels in a spicy white wine-tomato sauce. The cocktail menu has selections such as housemade sangria, handmade margaritas, premium tequilas, domestic and imported beers, and more. Inside are concrete bars and flooring, exposed brick walls, custom-made wrought iron chandeliers and open kitchens with mesquite-burning grills. Oversized retractable glass doors open for an alfresco vibe in the summer months and offers outdoor seating on a spacious sidewalk café. Easily accommodate large groups with booth seating and communal tables. Semi-private and private party options are available.
