This is a funky, fun spot for drinks, apps or dinner. Decor is fun. Put me in the mood to enjoy myself. Menu is varied with a French theme, and food was very good. There are a lot of great spots on Randolph, but this is one of the better ones.

Maude's hip name and decor makes diner's expect: a) creative French menu b) innovative drink list c) quirky good service d) all of the above In reality, Maude's wasn't spot on for any of the above. The restaurant is a " near miss" on each point, which is a shame. They are close but lacking in each area. Server was... More

We always try new restaurants when we visit our son in Chicago. Maude's is now one of our favorites!! We requested the upstairs and our waiter was outstanding. The food was exceptional and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

From the outside it is a turn off, but go inside and enjoy a narrow but darn good taste treats. Cheese and onion appetizer, vegetable (!) salad, and scottish salmon were plates we shared. My wife had snails. The bread was excellent. We got desert elsewhere. I will go there again. Ben H.

You know when people tell you that a place is great but you don't know if you should believe them because they might just be trying to be cool and trendy, but the actual restaurant is just meh? Well, no worries here! Maude's is fantastic. Our favorite restaurant is Bavette's, so we had high hopes for Maude's and we weren't... More

This is real French food in a truly romantic setting. We had two bottles of fantastic French wines, foie gras pâte, cassoulet, boeuf tartare and very yummy crème brûlée. Everything we ate was so very well done and surprising. The cassoulet is a sizeable portion. The staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The setting is over the top romantic. Fabulous... As the title says, this was my second time at Maude's Liquor Bar. First time we went on the weekend. I'm gluten intolerant and something got into my meal, but that could have been my own fault. Second time, had no problems. The menu was diverse enough so someone who's vegetarian or who only eats meat (like my boss) has... More

Met some friends, my first time, not sure what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. The environment was cozy, not too noisy the night we went, but this is supposedly unusual and normally quite loud. The service was great and the food was excellent.

Friends made reservations at Maude's. Small/medium/large plate menu is creative, with just enough selection to make your own combos. I had the Moule Frites, which were exceptionally fresh. My wife had an wonderful steak, and friends had cassoulet and salads, all were excellent. Cocktails and wines were all good quality as well. We will definitely be back.
