We haven't eaten here in years but we always make sure we stop in for a cocktail. I love the war of roses and hubby had a hot sazarac. It was so good. I would have even ordered that!

We loved visiting this bar for their extensive cocktail menu. The ones we tried were unique and high quality. We did come to the restaurant for Sunday brunch and felt that it was very average.

Thank you for your feedback LeSuriel! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the cocktails, but sorry to see that you didn't really love the food. I hope we will get another opportunity to really blow you away! Please feel free to reach out to me if there is anything I can do to facilitate that. Cheers! Stephanie Adams... More

This review is based on my stay at the Palomar during our "blizzard" in January. There were a lot of last minute cancellations to come to the city of Chicago and I picked the Palomar to spend the blizzard we had in "style". I used my mini bar voucher because I was going to use if for a Kahlua and... More

After two horrible brunches, we will never ever return. Seems like the chef they had that favored fresh, local and vegetarian is gone. The new chef is clueless -- poor quality, crappy ingredients, tiny portions. We will never, ever return!!!

Thank you very much for your feedback World_Hiker_Dallas! I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your brunches with us recently. While it is true that we have a new Chef here, I wanted to let you know that he does have multiple partnerships with local farms such as Slagel, Might Vine, and Klug that we use in most... More

We went here for dinner our first night in town. The food was all great--it was essentially small plates, although the waiter said some of the offerings were larger. The deviled eggs were awesome and changed the way I intend to make them in the future. I also really liked the mushroom flatbread. It was pleasantly full on a Saturday... More

Ate here with my husband while staying at Palomar and loved it. One of our favorite dinners of our Chicago trip. He had chicken and waffles, I had sliders topped with quail eggs, we split truffle fries (the dipping sauces that came with them were SO good), for dessert we had a lavender chocolate tart. The atmosphere is perfect for... More

Absolutely the best drinks we had this trip!! Service was great, too! We ended up visiting here a few times on this trip. Great selection behind the bar.

This was a great stop after enjoying a beautiful winter day in Chicago. The small plates are the best way to try more dishes and can be shared with others. Great presentation and every plate we sampled was yummylicious. The sliders, steak tartare, chicken and waffles and flatbread were some of our favorites.

Perhaps the most unique part of our dinner was that our server was a bit like a tour guide, making fine suggestions but also willing to discuss some of our group's choice before finalizing each round. The four of us shared each item, so that we had lots of variety in flavors and textures throughout our dinner. This also provided... More

We had only one meal here (breakfast). Food was very good, staff were excellent - attentive and could not have been more helpful. Breakfast for three was over $70 -- kind of expensive but hey it's Chicago!
