Tried the Yellow Fin for lunch and at most I can say was that it was ok. The service was very friendly and food was ok. All the food was kinda bland. The atmosphere was a quaint little restaurant. I probably won't go back, I've had better Japanese.

I don't remember the names of all of the food we ordered but all the dishes were great! The server was pleasant and brought us an appetizer that was incredible, I wish I could remember the name. I had the unagi and it was delicious. My friend ordered tuna and salmon, they melted in our mouths like butter. I had... More

The fish eggs are amazing, fresh, large and delectable. We just moved here from Indianapolis, and Yellow fin out performed anything we've tasted in the city. This is now a weekly must do for us, as the batter dipped cream cheese sushi roll (about the only Americanized option on the list, but no complaint) makes all others look like amateurs by... More

It got great reviews on urban spoon, so I was excited to try it. My first order was a pick-up and they made my Philadelphia roll with COOKED WHITE TUNA instead of salmon. Really not good or what I ordered. But I figured everyone makes a mistake, so a few months later I tried it again. Small rolls, dry rice,... More

Would not suggest this restaurant. Did not have a good atmosphere and did not make up with quality food. Food was very bland and was not good at all.

This is one of my Sweetheart's favorite places for lunch and dinner. She usually orders tempura; I prefer the California roll and combination boxes. Japense beer is available and there is an Asian market next door. Staff are very welcoming. They do a robust carry-out business. The restaurant is small, and in the winter you want to get a table... Loved the sashimi, the sushi, and the seaweed salad. Quality is excellent. Service was fast, and they gave us free dessert and some free sushi sampler. Considering the location, out of the way, it is a place I'd return to.

You are not going to bump into this place randomly as it is off the beaten track. I found this place with an iPhone app while visiting Champaign and it is now a regular stop for me when passing through. This is a very good mom and pop shop with lots of native Japanese eating there (always a good sign... More

Yellow Fin is a very nice place to eat. I enjoyed spicy tuna sushi and a bowl of vegetable udon. The atmosphere is very nice and the price is just right.

The food is o.k. - the prices are just not justified by any means.
