When we were told that you had to book in advance to get a table I guess I was expecting something a little more unique. What we got was perfectly fine. But I found the menu uninspiring with little choice between burger or steak. So I opted for a beef rib. It was cooked well, but the bourbon sauce was... More

Despite the advertising this proved to be Expensive food in a bland room above a pub. Would not recommend.

This is one of the eateries at Bluestone for those that are visiting can enjoy. The menu is not vast but an interesting mix of Italian/Welsh options. I had the lamb cawl which was lovely and my husband had the lamb main dish option. Both were well presented and we would choose those options again. It is a small restaurant... More

Excellent pub with first class food. Also very family friendly and staff most helpful. Prices comparable with any pub.

Overpriced, pretentious food! We found the menu at Carreg Las very small and unneedingly pretentious. Very odd food combinations that we felt did not compliment one another. The restaurant itself is very pretty and makes for a romantic meal though the food wasn't for us!

The ambience is a bit 'convention centre' - but this was more than compensated by great service, food and wine. Had been told it was no kids after 7pm - but that clearly wasn't the case as there were tables including children when we got there at 7.30pm - but thankfully they were well behaved!

Avoid - rude waitresses and no atmosphere in a restaurant that advertises itself as a finr dining experience.

The good parts: the waiter was really attentive and pleasant The bad parts: everything else I've eaten here several years ago and it was great, not so this time. I particularly enjoyed the gastroenteritis I had the following evening. What makes it worse is that when I emailed their customer service department, they pointed out that I could have got... More

On the Saturday night we made a booking at the Carreg Llas Restaurant . The food was excellent and it was good to see that the menu had been changed back to cater for those who enjoy fine dining. Service on the other hand was poor... not because of poor staff, but because it seemed that the number of bookings... More

We were looking forward to dinner, we ate there exactly a year ago and had a fabulous meal which was also excellent value for money. Last night we given bread rolls the size of golf balls and only one each. We both had the chicken terrine which was okay apart from the pop corn garnish. My partner had the sirloin... More
