Hello! Sorry hear about the salad, it's typically a well received dish. I wonder if something was off in the prep? I would recommend the Panzanella bruschetta salad with grilled shrimp for your wife on your next trip. I would recommend the Hagerman Trout for...More

We frequent Bardenay often since it's a quick bike ride away from our house. It's also our go-to casual place to take house guests since the food, atmosphere, and service is always great. Tons of choices on the menu...I always have a hard time deciding...More

Love this place for patio dining - lovely setting and it is not so noisy. Food and service great. Fun, upbeat place catering to the 30+ age group. Cocktails and appitizers are delicious. Easy parking and friendly staff.

I went out to dinner with friends here years ago. I thought it was a lil pretentious & pricey. I like the layout and the high ceilings. The staff was great.

A bonus for this restaurant is how pleasant a stroll through its neighbourhood is. Across from a Basque museum, whose sidewalk has very interested markings. And there are other restaurants nearby which appear worth checking out too. Attentive, yet relaxed wait staff help to make...More

Description
Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
