It's difficult to find a place with a great bar and delicious food that is casual in atmosphere. This place is all that and moderately priced. I think the menu has enough variety that anyone can find something they like. The food was perfectly prepared...More

Makes their own gin which makes the best Martinis. Great prelude to a dinner or a salad that is enough for dinner.

Sat at the end of the bar near the kitchen...pretty dirty. Had a drink and left to go to Anthony's! Definitely wasn't going to eat there.

The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. We received our waters right away and were told our server would be by shortly. Well, we got tired of waiting (10 or so minutes), so my partner went to the bar and ordered our drinks. Finally...More

Just the decor is worth the trip ... and then you get to eat and drink here as well. Whoever envisioned, designed and built this place is to be congratulated.

Three of our party had steak, which was cooked perfectly and the different sauce choices was a nice touch. My one criticism was of the waiter. When we asked about the special of the day, his response was, "It's not bad, but not my favorite,...More

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. We are always working to educate our servers on both our food and beverage menus. We will certainly be putting in some extra effort on the beer side over the coming weeks!

It is set alongside a man-made lake which makes for great ambiance. The service has always been very good and the food as well. They also distill their own Vodka and Gin!

Second visit there. We went for the bruschetta appetizer. It is the best. Rest of the menu is typical of other good restaurants. A number of Korean entrees are in the menu.

Description
Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
