My husband and I are not picky eaters but the meal we had here was the worst ever which is saying a lot since we're both over 60 years old! We started with the red bean & chorizo soup since it sounded very Basque. In fact it was disgusting, basically boiled red beans, a couple tiny pieces of chorizo, no... More

Literally worse food ever! Slowest service on earth. You wait and wait and wait for everything. Nothing is cooked right. Lamb dishes are dry and greasy at the same time?!Croquettes are bland. Paella is not authentic and lacks saffron taste. Seafood not fresh but dry and bland. Mushroom garlic appetizer overcooked and not garlicky. Stale bread. Not authentic basque food. Do... More

First I want to state that the service was excellent The restaurant itself looks nice and friendly The main problem is the food ... I know basque and spanish cuisine ... this is not it The only thing that tasted good is what the chef did not cook .. the chorizo ! Portions are pretty small too for a somewhat... More

Look for the special when you walk in. The special we had was 1/2 Rotifera chicken with seafood paella. It was good and significantly less money than other menu items.

Leaky Ona Restaurant and Bar is located in the Basque blocks of Boise. They have an excellent bar and even better food. The seafood bisque was the best we have ever tasted. The lamb sandwich is another must try item. The lamb, piled on a hard French roll, is very tender, with a mild garlic-ally flavor. The chorizo sausage dish... More

This place is pretty darn good. Luckily the chef special for the day was a half a chicken with seafood paella. Everything blended well together and I was full and happy when I finished. The plates were also large! So bring your appetite. The only drawback is that you pay for all of this goodness. For someone, who is more... More

We ate upstairs, servers were nice if slow. We tried the Chorizo soup, which was so bland it was a complete pass, and the salad, which was fresh and the dressing tasty. Our main course was the lamb stew, which was mediocre, and the meatballs, which were okay with a tasty wine sauce. The meatballs were good. Didn't care for... More

What a delightful place! We sat at their outside patio, and only passed through the interior, so all I can say about the interior is that the dark wood lent old-world charm to the atmosphere. The outdoor patio allowed us to people-watch and there happened to be a Latino street festival over Labor Day weekend while we were there, so... More

The waitstaff were very nice, but the service was far slower than necessary with the number of patrons inside. The waitstaff also needed to be reminded of things we had requested. Again, so nice, but... The appetizers were the only really good portion of the meal. The entrees were mediocre at best. We won't be back.
