Based on everyone's reviews, we were expecting more. The restaurant itself is not that great (lack of space, an old fast food restaurant), but I figured the food would make up for it. The flavor combinations were a bit bland and odd and tasted like American food more than Argentinian empanadas.

I drove right by this place far too many times. What I found when I finally stopped ....yum. The best meat sandwich in the Treasure Valley. Buy a Gaucho when you're hungry and the comfort food memories will flood your mind. Then do an apple for desert ...oh my!

This is easily the best value for indulgent food in Boise. I have eaten here several times, tried several empanadas, and have loved every delicious bite. They do have sandwiches if you are with a group and want something not deep fried. I have never tried them, because their empanadas are so frickin' good! If you try nothing else, you... More

This place is just fantastic. Simple food made fresh, cheap, and fast. The assortment of empanadas available means everyone can find something (or two or three or ten things) that they like, and all of them are made to order. One of my favorite places.

Great food and a fantastically genuine family that runs the place. The place is simple. No fancy decorations just great food and service.

My husband lived in Argentina for a couple years and he loves this place! And that says a lot cause he is picky when it comes to empanadas! Haha. Truly authentic, very good sized empanadas, and so delicious. We have already been here a couple times and it will definitely become a staple in our home. They also have other... More

This place was recommended to me by a coworker. He wouldn't shut up about the tres leches empanada so I had to check it out. Boy I am glad I did. I had the Guacho and the Carmelo empanadas and they were so good!!! It is a little cramped inside, but everyone was so nice and jovial it didn't even... More

I'd only ever had dessert empanadas prior to eating at Tango's so I wasn't sure how it would be. They were pretty good. It wouldn't be my favorite to go to all the time since pretty much everything is deep fried! But...an empanada, fries & a drink for 5 bucks is a pretty good deal. They are super friendly too,... First, this seems to be a family business and the owners are super friendly. So, I say if you want something different then please try Tangos. Of course, the food and spices are very unique and enjoyable. So, I am trying to cut them some slack. However, this place is a food truck with 4 walls. You order at the... More
