When we go alone and sit at the bar, everything goes ok but we had to go for a banquet in the upstairs room and the service was lacking and the food cold and just not near what the price would demand.

Reasonable priced. Quick service. Pinapple fizz was wonderful. Beautiful upstairs. Food was great. Did not like the pita chips with the spinach dip, waitress quickly brought homemade chips out. Eager to please and very polite. I would stop there again

My friends gathered to eat dinner at chops last night. First the good, the fries were really great, the waiter was kind and helpful, the “layers of pasta”, although poorly named, was very tasty. The not so great: my friends and I saw two big...More

First, thank you for coming in to dine with us! I'm glad everything was tasty! I want to sincerely apologize for the bugs. We do have monthly pest control that should stop this from happening but sometimes they sneak in. There is also pest control...More

Downstairs dining room and bar were quite busy on arrival, but plenty of tables available in the quite upstairs area. I did not take advantage to walk around, but it appeared to have another, semi-private area upstairs, as well. My host commented that the menu...More

Good varied menu to suit most tastes. Nice selection of craft beers which you can try before buying. Friendly staff and good Venue if you have kids as informal dining experience.

I have been to this restaurant as a local patron hoping each time it would improve. Tonight was the worst ever. Don't bother to go here. Instead, go to Mirko a few doors down, The Pour, in the next block or McDonalds. The service was...More

First a caveat. We ordered from the vegetarian section of the menu, perhaps their steaks and chicken are superb. But as my wife says if it isn’t good it should not be on the menu. We started off with a wonderful garlic and feta soup...More

They were packed, but the four of us sat at the bar, ordered drinks and even ordered our meals. By the time our table was ready, our meal was almost out. Great food and service every time.

We stopped in shortly before closing after a Dawg victory. The staff was very kind to seat us quickly and happy to accommodate our group. The steaks were fantastic and the wedge salad was excellent! The buffalo dip is a must have appetizer! The food...More

We often carry clients to Chop and Hops in downtown Watkinsville, GA. We have never had a bad meal, the hamburgers are great, specials of the day, fried green tomatoes, and the best beef stew I have ever eaten!

It depends on the time you want to visit. Early dinner is a better chance of a short wait. Dinner at 7 -8 could be longer with no reservation. I would suggest making a reservation especially on a weekend. It is worth the... More

This really is a great place to eat AND drink. I tried to post a link to their website, but apparently that violates the protocols. If you Google "Chop & Hops Athens" you can get a link to their homepage and the full food... More
