Not a bad place to watch a movie but it's hard to eat your food with the table being so far away from your seat. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced but I think I prefer Studio Movie Grill because it's a little newer with a better selection of food.

The we were in theater 1 and it had a funky smell to it and the seats are tattered and torn, also the screen was small.

They have recently changed their menu, but I can't say it was for the better. I had the chipotle chicken sliders and was not impressed... I won't be getting them again. The buffalo wings were good but were better and hotter before they switched to a sriracha based sauce, not to mention that they no longer come with fries. Speaking... More

Movie Tavern is a very comfortable place to see your favorite film while you enjoy a meal. The seating is arranged such that there is plenty of room between rows and tables are provided for your meals with lots of leg room and comfort. Still, the menu is a bit overpriced for what you get although the food is decent.... More

We are pleased to have this chain of movie theater plus dinner take over the old movie theaters in out neighborhood. The converted theatre now serves dinner (burgers, sandwiches, rollups, fires), sodas and beer on tap. First run movies. Prices are lower than the big theaters. We really enjoy our visits to Movie Tavern

We found this place behind mellow mushroom and decided to try it out instead of going back to the hotel. Cost was $13 for two of us at 8:40 p.m. I had a beer on tap and it was @ $5. We are tall so the complaints about the tables being too far from the chairs really didn't seem to... More

So I like going here not for anything more than the 5.50 matinee but I walked in and saw one of the staff cleaning the theatre... Sweeping up the floor and then using the same broom to clean off the tables where people put their food and drinks... Thanks just nasty!!! Now I wonder what the cleanliness of the kitchen... More

We arrived early so we could start eating at the beginning of the movie. We ordered the Hummus platter [hummus with pita bread and veggies] as a starter. This didn't arrive until the movie was half over. I ordered a lemonade. Waitstaff kept coming to me with the wrong drinks asking if i ordered them - "No, I asked for... More

Similar to Raleigh’s Raleighwood in that you can eat your meals in the theater. Different from Raleighwood as follows: At Movie Tavern, you order your meals at the concession counter and they bring it to your seat, where you eat at built-in counters on every row of typical theater seats. At Raleighwood, there are also rows of built-in counters, but... More

Being that this was my first visit, I was excited to be served food while watching the movie. However, I we never received our food. 30 minutes into the movie, still no food!! We were finial able to flag down a worker who was bringing out some other movie goers their food. When we informed her of our dilemma, with... More
