Our family has been coming to this restaurant, formerly called Umezono, for the past 20+ years. Name has changed but food is still the same and still good.

This was a world class restaurant once upon a time. My mother spent time in Japan and we loved visiting back in the 90's. Excellent sushi amd tempura. There are very few Japanese restaurants like Umezono owned and operated by Japanese, most are Chinese run. Nothing against Chinese sushi houses, I speak Mandarin and love going anywhere that has good... More

Although ownership has changed the food is still excellent! The only thing I'd change is the decor and music.

Under the name Umezono this was once the place to go, one of the best Japanese restaurants to be found in metro Atlanta. Japanese food at a very reasonable price brought not only Japanese ex-pats from all around, but locals as well who wanted to experience something traditional. We had gone there for lunches and dinners with the family as... More

I have been going to Umezono now called " I love sushi" for 25 years. Although ownership has changed they are still as great as ever. Relatives or friends rave about their experience every time. You have to try them out. They are closed for a few hours in the afternoon so check for times before you head there.

A picture is worth a thousand words. To show you how bad a rip off this place has become under new ownership (after it used to be the best quality and value in Atlanta!), they cheat you even on the cheapest simplest stuff: here is the miso soup for a takeout order of the Sushi Special Dinner at $30! Notice... More

Well, another special occasion for the extended family forced me to go here. It wasn't my treat nor my event, so I had no choice but to go due to decorum. Based on prior experiences - three visits since new ownership changed (see my other reviews), and each one was successively worse than the previous one – now I would... More

Used to be our favorite in Atlanta for real master sushi, real Japanese with lots of authentic patrons, great chef and generous servings. Not anymore. New ownership wrecked the authenticity of the place, jacked up the price, that was on the high side already but used to worth the price. Now you are getting less fish for more money, plate... More

If you are looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant look no further. Great sushi, Katsu don, teriyaki chicken and numerous fish dishes. Ambience is incredible, reminds me of my time in Okinawa.

I visited this restaurant 7 years ago when visiting from California and it was just as good as most japanese restaurants I go to in Cal. After 7 years I was looking forward to having the same experience as my last visit. First thing I noticed was they changed the name to I Love Sushi Japanese which doesn't come up... More
