Over the years, since our first visit to the Cloister in Sea Island, Georgia, in the early 1980s, the four-star family resort has expanded and modernized and improved in many ways. The most significant change, in our view, is in the dining experience. The Cloister has five outstanding restaurants, including the Georgian Room, the only five-star restaurant in Georgia. But... We stayed here last year and loved it. This year we stayed at the less expensive sister property The Inn at Sea Island, but we spent our days at The Cloister. The clay tennis courts here are in excellent shape, several of them have night lighting. There is a wonderful pro shop where we dealt with the lovely Kristina from... More

Just amazing quality in every room. We stayed in beach suites and the room was expansive and comfortable. It had a balcony and a den/great room with kitchenette. It was just comfortable and gave you the feel of a second home. Room 204 was a great space

It has taken several days to explore most of this expansive building, and the rest of the grounds, all of which are beautiful. Having been to many medieval castles in Europe, I saw many things that reminded me of those castles while exploring the Cloisters. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. I look forward to returning.

My husband and I just got back from four nights at The Lodge (one of the Cloister properties). I must say it was an awesome hotel. Old southern charm to the max!!! Our room #21 had a view of the front of the hotel. Some other rooms had a view of the ocean and golf course. Our room was huge.... More

It's a beautiful hotel with Mediterranean style with fine furnishings. I enjoyed the colorful hydrangeas. The rooms were spacious with elegant furniture. The scheme of colors were peach, sea green, soft pink...soothing lush colors. The service were excellent!!..we were greeted with warm smiles, interesting history, and southern charm. Food was excellent in all restaurants and they are all accommodating to... More

Rarely do you come across such a great restaurant in a quiet remote region. Everything was perfect. 1. The Staff: Everyone was super helpful and enthusiastic about their job. Jason, Nate, Chris, George, Sarah (apologies if I missed anyone's name) all made us feel like that nothing was too much to ask. Even after the hotel messed up our ride... More

This was my first trip to tThe Cloisters The service is incredible and the food and drink top notch. Staff is warm, cordial and truly hospitable! Our room was in the new gardenview section and was spacious , with a small balcony and a spacious bathroom. We played seaside golf course and practically had the course to ourselves. After our... I've been staying at Sea Island for over 35 years and after extensive stays at resorts around the world - Sea Island is amongst the best. Impeccable service, incredible accommodations and southern hospitality. Lots of things to do - golf, tennis, spa, top notch fitness center, shooting school, beach club, pools, you name it. Suffice to say - it's one... More

Resort was great and the staff was as well. The only let down was the very expensive restaurants that were not that great. Tavola was the best. The remainder were very average and very pricey.
