Just stopping for the atmosphere of the shop alone is well worth your time. Mimics an old store on the outside and as you walk in, including a real wood burning fire! As you walk towards the back of the store it becomes more modern...More

We had the soup of the day (creamy chicken and wild rice soup) and 1/2 chicken salad on rye bread. Both were very delicious, and the soup was something new to us. We also sampled the cheese in the Old Sautee Store, and bought some...More

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. As an adult, I bring my out-of-town and out-of-the-country friends to the Old Sautee Store to share in the experience. The "museum" at the front of the store (which used to be a post...More

The bread is homemade daily and you can tell! Perfect for lunch. It's so small and quaint, and the store next door has tons of great goodies to bring home.

The Frieds have not owned the store since around 2000. Unfortunately they both passed away many years ago. Galen and Jean Greene have owned the store since 2003.
