The waitress was sweet but when I asked questions about the food, she had no idea what was good. I went through a couple different plates to find something that didn't taste old or disgusting. Best part to my time there: corn nuggets and banana pudding.

The parking lot was crowded for a lunch on a Thursday, so not being locals, we thought this would be a great place for some coastal seafood. While the onion rings were super, the fish was dry, both the fried and the grilled. Hush puppies were really greasy. I just expected better food.

We had been excited to come here for awhile but never seemed to make it. When we finally did get there it was a major disappointed. The food was pretty horrible and the service was nonexistent. I will say my coworker had a quesadilla and he liked it. Go figure, a seafood place that makes a good Mexican dish but... More

Stopped here for dinner with 8 people. The shrimp and onion rings were quite good (large size and lightly battered). The meals came with a salad bar. We would like to stop here again on our way out of town.

My wife and I have eaten at Capt. Joe's several times. The food is always fresh, the soup and salad bar is the best around and the Seafood Platter for two is wonderful variety of fried and broiled seafood. Well worth the visit every time we come.

Some local friends and I went to lunch at Captain Joe's and I was more expecting an average experience. What I got was a unbelievably great home-cooked meal, incredible value for the price and perfect, friendly service! The Grouper was melt in your mouth delicious and portions so large I easily got another take home meal. The buffet was chock... More

Driving on I-95 and was looking at TripAdvisor to find a good spot to stop for a late lunch. Our meal was just ok. The service was good.
