Delicious hamburgers, hotdogs and fries. Homemade deliciousness and old fashioned atmosphere! Quick service. Locally owned. Clean, friendly.

This place is wonderful! I always enjoyed it because the food is delicious and for a great price. It has a diner feel to it, and I just love diners. The staff is always so sweet. I loved hanging and eating here when I was in college. From time to time, I always come back for one of their delicious... More

They cook the hamburgers right on the grill like they did years ago & have "homemade" slaw. Hot dogs are good too. Just off the square in Gainesville.

Like stepping back in time. The burgers are made on the same griddle as when the Collegiate opened and the owners have carefully preserved the authenticity of the place.

Collegiate is a great place to get a burger, chili dog, milk shake, etc. Take a seat on the stools and watch as your food is prepped in front of you. The french fries are a must!

My family loves this simple diner. They have a super limited menu and stick to what they do right. Burgers, HUGE orders of fries, chocolate milkshakes...its great and really cheap. It's a gotta-go place for me on the square.

The Collegiate has been a tradition for many years. Just a great place for a dog or burger plus lots of other choices. THE place for lunch.

I've been here several times and have always had great food and service. Burgers are handmade to order and the French fries are made fresh. If you're by yourself you'll probably want the half order of fries because full portion is a bit too much for me. Love the old fashion decor and the wait staff is very efficient.

I will need a double cheeseburger. I meant that the burger did need a little salt and pepper. It was a huge Burger it was hot and juicy. My only suggestion and or complaint would be try putting the snow on the top of the patties. The weight of the patties press down on the slaw and it made my... More

they know how to load up a chili dog here. bun is toasted on the grill then gingerly loaded with a good quality all beef weiner clowns to the left of me jokers to the right, mustard and ketchup, delicately placed chili wearing a crown of fresh cold Vidalia onions. they'll put slaw, which is pretty good considering Gainesville must...
