Recently I took my grand kids for dinner, they wanted the chicken tender meal. After paying, I noticed I was charged 50 cents for each meal. I requested why the additional charge because it was not posted on the menu. I ask to speak to the manager and was told that were not there. The cashier said we always add... More

The biscuits are like grandma's. The southern gravy is yummy!! The streak-o-lean a bit salty but I like it like that. Eggs done right. Coffee piping hot. Juice tasted like it was just squeezed. An all around good meal.

Good food. The meatloaf was a generous portion and tasted great. Melt in your mouth biscuits and better than grandma's friend okra. Friday night gospel. Always crowded so go early. Locals favorite.

I had 3 regional sales people working with me. I recommended a restaurant with great home cooking. Everyone loved it! I had chicken salad, cole slaw, beans and corn bread! Three people had and LOVED the banana pudding!

We stopped in unplanned. So glad we passed the fast food at the interstate exit! Chicken livers and fried okra were fresh and not greasy at all. Turnip greens were not out of a can and had ham pieces. Creamed corn was best we've had in a restaurant. Banana pudding was the real deal. Satisfying portions and very well priced!... More

At lunch I had a delicious pork chop, corn bread, strawberry cottage cheese salad and chicken 'n dumplings as a side. I cleaned my plate! I am chicken 'n dumplings fan and my next trip that may be my main entre. Mmmm. Mmmm good it was worth the short trip outside of Cartersville!

I have two 85+ year Olds that I have to care for; so, on Sundays we get out for a ride & search for new places to eat...vegetables MUST be on the menu for these two to be happy. Doug's Place fits the bill perfectly. We had lunch in this quaint old country store setting. The variety of meats offered... More

When we are traveling back from anyplace south of Atlanta (expect on Sundays when they are closed) this is now a must stop as we are easing up Interstate 75. Lots of good southern comfort food, reasonably priced and served with a smile.
