Cafe Sababa is on point The food is fresh and delicious, the portions large and they are super friendly. We often pick up to go orders for dinner during the week. Faves include hummus, falafel, lamb and chicken platters, gyros. I just wish they were open at least one weekend day!!

I've known about Café Sababa for several years (many of my friends have been and said it was delicious)...so finally I decided to give it a try for lunch. Wow!!....it's clean and very cute inside. I've been for lunch several times now and each time has been packed...but was able to get a table right away. They also have outdoor... More

I was in the area for a drs appointment and the office recommended Cafe Sababa. Its located in a strip mall. Do not let that discourage you. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of the associates. The interior is small but nice and clean. They are playing soothing mediterranean music. The associate came right over... More

Cafe Sababa is so popular that they don't need to open on the weekends! The popularity is well deserved, with a varied and delicious Middle Eastern menu. There are good vegetarian choices, like falafel, hummus, and babaganoosh, on the menu so many vegetarians dine here, too. I am not a vegetarian, but think Sababa has the best falafel in Atlanta!... Food quality was fair at best and pretty expensive. The person taking the orders and preparing the plates (owner/chef?) was rude and impatient with us and the people ahead of us (there were only 2! parties in the place at the time).

Met some old coworkers here for dinner. Did nt know what to expect other than what I had read- I was not disappointed. This place is not fancy, it is small and in a strip mall....the servers are great and the food is "to die for"!!! Don't forget to get the hummus it's the best around. My favorite was the... More

Description
In both Hebrew and Arabic, the word "sababa" is slang for "awesome," "fun," or "cool." But it originates from Arabic poetry and literally means "ardent love," or "fervent longing." At Cafe Sababa, we strive to offer you an awesome, fun and cool culinary experience with our fresh, authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes including grilled chicken, fish, beef and lamb, and we hope you will develop an ardent love for our food and a fervent longing to visit us again and again.

Chef/Owner Doni Tamli has over 25 years of restaurant and catering experience. A native of the seaside city of Acco, Israel, Chef Tamli brings his knowledge of the spices and cooking styles of the Mediterranean and Middle East and offers his unique versions of traditional favorites.

Chef Tamli owns Cafe Sababa with his wife, Ann, a third-generation native Atlantan. Their two sons, Ariel and Gil, work in the restaurant as well.

We offer dine-in, take-out and catering services.

Cafe Sababa's lamb burger was noted as a "Dish Worth The Drive" on Atlanta Eats TV in November 2013. The restaurant was voted as one of Atlanta's top Middle Eastern/Eastern Mediterranean Restaurants in a poll by the Atlanta Journal/Constitution in 2012, and was honored by the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce as the runner up for the 2011 Best of Dunwoody "Good Eats" Business Award.
