Tried to order a BLT with onion rings only to find out there was no lettuce in the house. That means there was really no other sandwich available to me since I want lettuce on my sandwiches. I decided to go ahead and have the onion rings they look great when I taste them they tasted like fish (I hate... More

Not very clean, food want very good and service w4as less than desirable. They seemed to dote on the regulars here. The food was barley warm and didn't taste so good. I had the beef tips with rice and gravy. This c was my second attempt at eating here. I don't believe I'll be returning.

I eat breakfast and/or lunch at this restaurant at least 4-5 times per week; everyone knows everyone and they make you feel like you're in grandma kitchen! The food is phenomenal and so is the service!

Taking the "old road" US 78 btwn Atlanta & Birmingham and looking for something local and home-cooked...found the Bankhead Diner. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for! Had breakfast on a Sunday morning and enjoyed some of the best grits ever and a homemade biscuit the size of your fist! The omelet was generous with some tasty FRESH ingredients.... More

We usually visit the Diner on Sunday afternoons after church. Their food is great. Great fried chicken !!!! Good variety of other entrees and vegetables. Restaurant kept clean. Most of the employees are very friendly and attentive. We are there usually at their busiest times so occasionally they run out certain foods.

I eat here from time to time and the breakfast is what you would expect from a local diner. It has the small town feel that I seek when I sit down to eat. The staff seems to be a bit odd as the last person to wait on me seemed to be talking to herself all the time. I... More

I regularly visit on the weekends for breakfast, Good consistent service and food. Nothing fancy about Bankhead Diner but if you want a good meal at a fair price then this is your spot. Lunch is typical southern fare, Always good

I got the Country fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. This was not country fried steak, this was a breaded beef patty which tasted terrible. The gray and mashed potatoes were good but the biscuit was hard and dry. This meal would be compared to a TV frozen dinner. My wife's vegetables were average tasting with the exception... More

Best Southern cooking with a great breakfast menu. Best selections of meats eggs & pancakes. Biscuits and gravey and coffee. Food comes fast and is always cooked exactly as you ordered. Lunch has good country vegetable choices and meats. Standard menu everyday and other choices posted every day. Good food and family atmosphere.

Great breakfast, and lots to choose from for lunch, Have great prices for what you get. Small tables for couples, and large tables for groups.
