We ate lunch at the Picnic Cafe at the recommendation of a friend. All our entrees were delicious. We were on a time crunch as we had to be back at Amicolola Falls for ziplining. Our waitress did her best to get us out in...a timely manner. The pastries & ice cream was also delicious.More

Four of us ladies made a weekend trip to The Primmer Outlets in Dawsonville, GA. We had breakfast Sunday morning here at the Picnic Cafe’. I loved the atmosphere and the decor was perfect for a cafe’. Fresh flowers on each table, clips to hold...the tablecloth securely at each corner of the tables, a nice selection of breakfast items and an array of pastries, cakes and fudge to choose from. It’s a very special little nook. Their choices of coffee was amazing. Can’t wait to return. Only thing we did not like was men and women had to share the same bathroom.More

This picturesque cafe is nestled in downtown. I would highly recommend it for lunch. The bread for the pimento cheese was fabulous. Chicken chili was good also. It was a nice break from all the German food in the area.

Couldn’t find much in the way of a quick coffee shop looking around so we stopped in here on a Saturday morning and were Very surprised. The almond chocolate coffee of the day was incredible. We had a cinnamon bun and quiche to start off...our hike. We WILL be returningMore

Set in the town square, the service was okay but the food was worth it! Tried the original chicken salad and tomato bisque. Yum! Husband has the salad trio of peach chicken salad, egg salad, and tun salad. Freshest fruit!

Great food, great location, fair service, fair prices, four tables of outdoor seating but none were covered from the sun but there is a tree that blocks a good amount of sun.

We went there twice for breakfast. Staff is very nice and friendly. Their hot tea selection is good. It does get crowded on the weekends, but there are street benches close by, so you can always get it to go.

Dahlonega is largely closed down in February. The Picnic Cafe was the only place we found to be open for breakfast besides Starbucks. This is a nice cafe with good service and good food. Nice breakfast sandwiches and meals. We went here each day for...breakfast and enjoyed it every time.More

They have breakfast sandwiches on your choice of bagel, crossiant or a biscuit. Sausage and bacon are options. They also had gravy biscuits.
